    Not feeling well

    My doc sells "unjury" Protein. It's 23 grams per shake and complete whey protein. It's not bad- the have vanilla, chocolate, chicken Soup, unflavored. I don't particularly like the strawberry. Vanilla with vanilla light soy has been my favorite so far. You can prob find online. Also a new brand called "nectar" it's the same but in flavors like Cappuccino, fuzzy navel, and tea.

    Not feeling well

    I just had my surgery Monday. And found out milk makes me SICK SICK SICK. Bought silk soymilk light today to make the shake with. Didn't make me sick this time. Definitely am staying away from milk. I still have so much bloating though :/ and nauseated always. Trying to stay positive!

    One week post surgery

    I'm so glad I found this. I'm 22, had my surgery Monday, March 3. And was convinced it would be a breeze to recover. (And I'm a nurse!) Well the past few days? Hell. I was starting to think I was the only one having a hard recover process. I've learned I can't tolerate milk, I have horrible gas even from sipping water. And phenergan and naps are a staple in my day to day plans. I'm actually kinda scared, the realization of how serious a surgery this was and how hard this is, is a bit overwhelming. As of now I barely can get my protein shakes down, let alone all the water. Slow but steady, right?

    Muscle and/or Bone Pain

    Sounds like ketosis/ muscle burn to me. I have been having the Same issue and am only 5 days post op- muscles are killing me! I'm a nurse too so I understand the need/ want to know what's going on. But from what I'm experiencing, we all have different experiences in the weight loss- for example, I have a harder time recuperating than most did.
  7. Hey guys, I'm Chelsea, am 22, and I would really appreciate tips and tricks for after surgery. Today is my first day home. I'm a nurse, but I feel completely lost to all of this! My problems are: gas, sore sore sore!, nausea.. Esp when waking up, and getting enough Fluid in. I'm drinking my first Protein shake now, with skim milk- any tips? I'm definitely having a rougher time than anticipated.

    Day 1 from hosp- support please!

    Thanks guys. My stomach was sooo messed up last night after my skim milk shake. So I'm staying FAR from milk. Will try almond or coconut milk I suppose. For now... Mixing with water only. I have a few shakes from the doc that can be mixed with water- fuzzy navel, cappuccino, and tea flavored. So I'll still with that for now.

  10. I get "unjury" fro my doc. It's made for people like us. Lots of flavors- even soup. Probably can get online on amazon.

    Sorry! I'm 22, had the surgery march 3 and had gastric bypass. I was 286 at the time.

    Thanks for the tips guys! They gave me phenergan ( but basically knock me out) and I have those gas strips. I'm so sore every time I stand up it's unreal... I found skim milk with the shakes tore up my stomach. I'm just having a hard time adjusting I think. Trying to stay positive...
