    When did you start exercising?

Thanks everyone for the replies. I figured I wouldn't be doing much more than walking for a month or so. I really hate going to the gym, that will be a big pep talk needed to start doing it again. I think I may try jazzercise or zumba or boxing, but not til I am good and healed :-)
  2. Hey. My surgery is on Monday, and I have questions about exercise. How soon did your Dr tell you it was ok to start, when did you actually start, and what do you do? My Dr has told me it's basically whenever you are feeling up to it, about a week after. Just curious as to what people have done. And what types of exercise because I need some new ideas! :-) Thanks!

    March Sleevers!

That's a good plan. I am doing my funerals since I know its going to be at least a good six weeks before I can have them again. Unless I want to have them pureed, which at the moment doesn't sound appetitizing. :-) but doing a high protein low carb diet is what I plan on, too.

    March Sleevers!

Thanks for the advice. That's good to know others didn't have a pre op diet. I had thought it was odd not to have one. I know I am going to be sooo tired of liquids come a few days after surgery :-) so I am just going to do low carb. I already am thinking in my head about food funerals I need to have! Lol.

    March Sleevers!

I have my surgery March 31st! So excited and a little nervous! I wasn't given a pre op diet, but think I will do one on my own next week before the surgery. It feels like it's all happening so fast now. I had to wait awhile to get in to see the dr, to get my xray results, and wait for approval. But as soon as it was approved last week, it was scheduled! 10 days now! Congrats to all of you who are doing so well right after surgery! :-)
  7. Hi all. I was banded in May 2010, and basically had complications from the start. Haven't ever been able to tolerate a fill, as it makes me vomit everything, even liquid. Lost more weight on the six month pre diet than with the dang band. Then gained it all back. The band is just hanging out right now reeking havoc to my system. I have finally found a physician who will do band revisions. I found out last week that what I was originally told by a different doctor was a fatty liver is actually symptomatic gallstones, so I need my gall bladder out as well. I am now just waiting for my insurance to approve band to sleeve revision with a cholecystectomy. Even though with all that going on and it sounds like a hot mess, I cannot wait for the surgery. The band and I failed each other, and I hope and pray this tool works better! I am glad I found this forum, and have been lurking for awhile for all the good tips everyone has :-)
