Blood pressure drops
JustWatchMe replied to kyrickchick64's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
A few months ago I had a few dizzy spells, usually walking from my car across a parking lot. It stopped happening after a few weeks. Now my blood pressure is back to high normal on one blood pressure med. I was hoping I could ditch this last BP med but not yet I guess. I used to take two BP meds and stopped one of them a few weeks after surgery. -

I'm only out a year but my advice is to get to your doc and NUT and tell them you want a plan for getting back on track. Stay in contact with them for monthly checkups as your weight goes down. Good luck and good for you!!! Never ever ever give up on yourself.

Two Months Post Op! Feel Amazing!
JustWatchMe replied to JoJoNYC's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Congratulations !! -
I thought it was my phone, but it's only in this app lately: scrolling is jumpy and hesitant and really not smooth all of a sudden. Anybody else notice this? @@Alex Brecher ?

Jumpy scrolling iPhone app
JustWatchMe replied to JustWatchMe's topic in Website Assistance & Suggestions
@@Alex Brecher it's happening again and it's much worse. The keyboard is sluggish and the scrolling is delayed and jumpy. I'm composing this outside of the app and copying and pasting it because it's driving me crazy. -
S_suther, happy birthday! I love Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Dollywood. We've taken several vacations there. My dinner was on point. Brussels sprouts instead of salad and two hamburgers with no bun. Then my daughter and I walked the dog for a mile. I didn't get all my stairs in at work today but I didn't expect to. Only 8 flights today. Tomorrow I will have cheese for Breakfast and Soup for lunch. Dinner is at an Italian restaurant so I think I will have calamari. It's something I never cook for myself. I'll commit to two drinks and no dessert and no bread. I should be able to get my stairs in easily tomorrow and get outside for a walk at lunch. Keep the momentum going!

Congratulations Alex! -
I'm a big fan of counseling. Can't speak to the medication part since I haven't tried a weight loss drug in over ten years and they keep changing them. I will walk tonight with my daughter and the dog at the park. Had a Goodwill store bonanza yesterday and came home with five shirts and a pair of pants. Had sausage for breakfast and Buddig beef and peanuts for lunch. I'm back at my own desk this afternoon so I am getting my stairs in. Having burgers (no bun) and a kale salad for dinner. Tomorrow night I'm going out with friends. It will be my first cocktails in about two weeks. Really looking forward to it but I don't want to derail my momentum with too many calories. What's a good cocktail that a bartender can make that has low calories ?

I'm sorry for the loss of your band, but I appreciate you sharing this important story with us. Good luck to you! -
Don't diet or not diet or have WLS or not have WLS for anyone but yourself. This will change your entire life permanently and dramatically. It's extremely difficult. The rewards are enormous, but if you're not 100percent wanting it for yourself going in, IMO, you're not ready. Because once you are ready, nothing and nobody can stop you. Good luck!

My day went very well. Got a mile walk in on my lunch hour and a bit more in the evening, and I've made my six mile challenge for the week! I won't be able to walk at lunch tomorrow since I'm at another location for the day. But maybe in the evening at home. food was on plan all the way. I've never eaten saganaki without bread before, but I didn't miss it at all. Had the cheese, salad and Soup and stopped! This band is a godsend! Feeling skinneeee tonight. Lol. Oh, got my stairs in too. I'll have to get creative tomorrow since I'm not at my usual office. I'll bring Buddig beef with me and maybe some cheese as well. I wish I'd planned ahead and had some nuts or Protein bars at home to put in my bag. I should be able to duck out for half an hour so if I can, I will get some chicken tenders from Popeyes for lunch. Breakfast will be sausage links. dinner will be braciole with no Pasta and a kale salad. I'll check in tomorrow as I can.

What happened to notifications?
JustWatchMe replied to JustWatchMe's topic in Website Assistance & Suggestions
Yes this one just came in. -
@@Alex Brecher, Over the weekend notifications stopped coming. I follow lots of threads but am not getting any notifications except for one or two that say I was quoted. That seems to be a new type of notification. It looks like "liked" works too but nothing when others add to a thread.

I'm back to my lowest weight post op this morning. Some things I've noticed... Not tracking my food is a mixed bag. When I'm following my food plan it's great because if I'm satisfied on a smaller amount of food than I had planned out, somehow it's easier for me to stop eating and give the remainder to the dog or toss it out. When I'm tracking I tend to finish it all because it's been measured out and recorded. Also, having a snack when truly needed (like nuts midday) is easy and not stressful. However, if I'm not following my food plan, not tracking becomes an excuse to ignore reality. One bad choice after another, and it's easier to lie to myself. My surgiversary is Friday. I'm so excited to be back on track and feeling positive this week. I know I'll get to my goal weight. 49.6 pounds to go. This is gonna happen!

Plan for today: protein for breakfast will be sausage links. Lunch is going to be a cheese stick, Buddig beef and peanuts. Dinner out with my daughter at a favorite Greek restaurant. I commit to saganaki with no bread, a Greek salad and a bowl of soup. No cocktail. I will walk the stairs at work and get outside at lunch for a long walk. It's supposed to be 60 degrees today!

Julie, congratulations! Panni or tummy tuck?

food on target today! Unwich was delish and just enough. Got my walking in and my stairs in. Already have 4.75 of my 6 challenge miles for the week. Feels so GOOD to be back in control. Bacon, sorry about the accident. I hope you and your colleagues are okay. S_suther, praying for you and your home decisions. I'm looking for a new home as well, but I'm not ready to buy yet until the divorce is final. My therapist suggested tonight that I not rule out a condo. So that just opened up some more possibilities for me. Had an epiphany yesterday and today. This renewed vigor of mine came just as I was able to slide back into Mommy mode for my eldest daughter. As I mentioned, her laptop died and out came my credit card and off we went to several stores to get her back in business. My younger daughter called from Spain, and we had a long talk about her upcoming travels, and she asked my opinion on a few things. They both needed me this week. It's been a long several months without them under my roof and I miss them terribly. My therapist noted that it's no wonder I was floating and floundering recently, since my identities as both a wife and a mother were shaken up at the same time. Empty nest while going through a divorce while ALSO going back to my mother's house and dealing with her never ending control issues. No wonder I was stalled and feeling ungrounded. Anyway, my eldest goes back to school in a few days and my youngest is gone until May. So I need a plan for the return of the empty nest so that I don't go back to floating and floundering. I've said it before: so much of this weight loss battle is fought between the ears.

Six month stall....gaaaaaaaaahhhh
JustWatchMe replied to desertpixie's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
For me I recently got honest with myself about my five month weight loss slump. I was enjoying weekly cocktails with friends and sometimes an evening glass of wine during the week. I also added more carbs into my diet. Finally, I was eating a bucket of buttered popcorn at the movies every week. I just became willing to change these habits last week. It's hard but i want to lose my last fifty pounds. I've started walking again on my lunch hour, and cleaned up my food by replacing carbs with Protein. It feels good. It's only been a few days, but I know the weight will come off if I do the work. Good luck. -
Head is back in the game!
JustWatchMe replied to JustWatchMe's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Second day walking at lunch and I went a little farther today. 2.75 miles. Kept to my food plan yesterday and on track today. It feels good to have my mental energy back. -
I've been in a slump lately. No weight loss in five months. Today I got my butt outside and walked two miles on my lunch break. My Breakfast and lunch were Protein and no junk. dinner will be protein, salad and Soup. I'm feeling energized and today I believe I can break this slump and get to my goal. Next week is my 1st surgiversary. I've come so far and am already reaping countless benefits of dropping 100 pounds. I have fifty left to lose. I'm not stopping now! I've never achieved a goal weight before. This year with my LapBand I will. Who's with me? Ready to kick it into high gear and get this done?

2.75 mile walk at lunch. Breakfast and lunch were all protein. Planning a Jimmy John's Unwich for supper.
