Yes there's an LA Fitness pretty close by. I tried beginner yoga a few months ago with comical results. My knees cracked so loudly that they sounded like machine gun fire. I ended up laughing too much and decided maybe yoga isn't for me.

So true. That's my problem though. I've only been able to stick to it when I have a routine and a place to go. When I went to the YMCA years ago I actually changed clothes at work before I left the building. If I didn't do that, it was too tempting to just drive home and skip my workout.

I did three Aqua Zumba courses last year and loved them. Problem is it was only one day a week and the water stuff really used up a lot of time. On top of that they moved it outdoors and into the daytime during the summer! The water stuff is lots of fun.

When we need a change, we change it up. Not a lifetime commitment. Just a new approach today. Good luck. I'll bet it helps. I do log sometimes now but only when I really don't know the calories in something. However, if I'm eating the usual boring standbys then I know the numbers. The first bank deposit from NSETBEx came in today. Four days late but it came. I'm having weird emotions about it but I'll talk it over with my therapist tonight. Glad to have that support. My Sunday was a delectable brunch with a wide selection of Desserts. Holy moly. I sampled everything but amazingly left a lot on my plate. I didn't feel the need to finish it all. Too much sugar left me a little sluggish. No champagne. I caved and ordered my Thai curry noodles for supper but the restaurant screwed up and gave me rice. Lol. Therefore it wasn't as bad for my diet as it could have been because I only ate a little of the rice. I really love the noodles. Today back on track and back to Protein. Lots of Water too. One more set of stairs to go. I'm considering joining a gym for strength training. I don't know. Just tossing that idea around.

Good luck. You can do it. The band is waiting to help. I had to refocus as well. I've been stagnant with weight loss for five months and even started to gain. That got my attention. I recently gave up wine and my favorite carby Thai comfort food, and the scale has started to move again. It's not easy, but I've found my motivation again. Staying connected here helps me a lot. The beauty of WLS is that we can succeed if we put the work into it. Before WLS I would try and then fail over and over again. It was so demoralizing. Let's do this thing!

Hello warriors!! I had a super busy day and got a ton of stuff done. Laundry, legal stuff, paid some bills, got my car appraised at CarMax (seriously, $1500 trade value? sheesh!), bought a gift for my mother, bought two dresses, a sweater and a pair of shoes for me ????, saw a movie with my bestie (Age of Adeline -- loved it), and managed to do all of this on two cups of chili and two large iced decaf coffees for the entire day. Not the best food plan, but by the time I got home, I just felt like waiting for tomorrow to eat won't be such a bad idea. I'm having an early Mother's Day brunch out tomorrow, so I'll likely have a bit more food than usual. I'm committing here and now to pass on the champagne. I'm tired just reading this! Hope you're all doing well. One more week until my eldest daughter comes home from St. Louis, and 12 days until my baby returns from her semester abroad in Spain. The countdown has begun! I can't wait to hold her in my arms again. This momma is going to have a very happy Mother's Day week!

Post op 1 day, question about drinking.

Please don't hesitate to call your team with questions. They really are there to help you! From my own experience, I had no drinking limitations except to keep my liquids sugar free. My guess is that as long as you have no discomfort, drink away!! Congrats on your surgery! -

Don't ever give up on yourself. You sound like you are on a successful path. My band has given me a chance at a normal life. I'm 54 and I am healthier today than I was at 35.

Happy Friday! I'm walking stairs at work today and had a Protein Breakfast. lunch will be errands and probably a bowl of Soup from Subway. dinner is Red Lobster with a friend. No cocktails, no biscuits. Caesar salad and lobster and shrimp and green Beans. I'm trying to watch sodium because I notice Water retention day to day with the rings I wear. When my rings are tight, I don't fret over a small scale gain. But sodium is bad for my blood pressure, so it's good for me to be aware of it now. Saturday I will have a day all to myself. I may buy some shoes. Sunday is my outing with my BFF, her mom and my mom for Mother's Day. Brunch at a hotel. I'll post before I go that day.
