Just Curious about cc you were at for green zone.
JustWatchMe replied to tootyoyo's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I second this. I feel I'm at green because my hunger is sated for 3-4 hours and even longer if my meal is Protein heavy and low carb. Additionally, I have no reflux or heartburn and I can eat almost any food. However, if I eat dry meat too quickly or don't chew certain foods to paste, I get stuck. To me this is green. Here is my fill history: Fills 03/31/2015 0.10 seventh fill 07.80 02/17/2015 0.10 sixth fill 07.70 12/02/2014 0.10 fifth fill 07.60 09/02/2014 0.25 fourth fill 07.50 0.25 third fill 07.25 2.50 second fill 07.00 4.50 first fill 04.50 I have fifty pounds left to lose and have been at this weight for over seven months. I don't want another fill. I'm scared of the harm that being too tight can cause. I want my band to last. My solution has to be cleaner eating and more exercise. But I believe my band is in a good spot now. -
Questions to ask during consultation
JustWatchMe replied to Sara Childers's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Ask your surgeon what his/her preferred recommendation for you is and why. If that surgeon doesn't want to or is reducing the number of lapbands s/he does, and that's a surgery you want, think twice about your choice of surgery OR surgeon. I wanted lapband and sought out a doc who did many. He suggested sleeve to me but when I said I really wanted lapband, he was fully on board. He still does lots of bands and believes in them. It's been good for me so far. No complications and a year and a half post op. Good luck. -
My journey July 20, 2015
JustWatchMe replied to krisslee21's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Good luck! You're on your way. My advice is stick as closely to the program as you can because you will lose most of your weight in the early months. That is the easiest time to lose and lose quickly. Congratulations ! -

Two months at the gym - Results
JustWatchMe posted a topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I got measured yesterday at my final session with my personal trainer. I didn't expect any changes because I had only relied on the scale, and my weight actually went up one pound. However, this made me realize that the work I've been doing really is having an effect on my body. I'm disappointed in the waist measurement. I always have trouble losing the belly. But he used a machine that measures body fat and mine went down one percent. My waist and chest did not go down, but my arms and hips and thighs and calves did. I worked out more in the beginning, and have slacked off recently with excuses about not having time with my new work schedule and my daughters borrowing my car in the evening. But these measurements made me see it's worth it to make the effort. Exercise needs to be a priority. Take a look at these stats. This is two months of working out between 1-3 times a week. I never ever measured myself before. I'm so glad I did. -
Two months at the gym - Results
JustWatchMe replied to JustWatchMe's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I was expecting literally zero change. This was encouraging to me. Now I want to get back in there and step it up! -
I stocked up on soups and pulled out my blender. By adding extra veggies, and even some meats to the blender with the soups, I was able to puree quite a bit. Chili was a favorite for that phase. Good luck!

At what age would you have Weight Loss Surgery (WLS) if you had a do-over?

And would you give the same answer about your own child? (In Linda Richman's voice:) "Discuss amongst yourselves." -
I went out with my 55-yo BFF recently (I'm 54) and she was offered the senior discount. She took it. I was mortified. She was mortified that I was mortified. She's of the mindset that, a buck saved is a buck saved. I'm of the mindset that, you offer me a senior discount before I'm 95 and using a walker, and you'll never get my business again. I do realize this is my issue. See, I'm recently separated and down 100 pounds. In my mind, I'm 28 again. Only more fit and taking no s--t. I'm happy in my delusional world.

Any one rocking a belt these day's?
JustWatchMe replied to Healthy_life2's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Just last week! I bought a maxidress and didn't like the waistline. My daughter (!) gave me one of her stretch belts with a big buckle. It was perfect. The best part? Borrowing from her closet! -
