Ha! Just a liiiiiitle too dangerous for me!

    Fonts

Fonts I want to read everyone's posts. But the ones with script font or pale colors just don't work with my itty bitty iPhone screen and lousy aging eyesight. I almost never go to the desktop site anymore. Not really a rant, just tossing that out there.

    Finding my Passion/Paying it Forward

Before my weight loss I was so physically exhausted just from my desk job that anything "extra" was out of the question. Now I come home, walk my dog, and look for something physical to do. It's a pleasant change.

    Finding my Passion/Paying it Forward

@@proudgrammy, Great ideas! I love your enthusiasm. Your posts lift me up. @@docbree, I heard this at a 12-step meeting I attend. Focusing outward and helping others helps us too. Sounds good to me.

    I got stuck!

    Yep. No fun!

    Am I eating too much?

Congratulations on your success so far! Your hunger will change over the coming weeks. If you can follow your team's guidelines that's the best advice I can give. If it's hard to do, TALK to them. Your NUT is there for just that. Before fills click in, we are often white-knuckling it on certain days. Even while fills are being done but before the coveted green zone is achieved, we can struggle. Avoid carbs and try to make your protein your first bites at every meal. Don't snack and don't drink until half an hour after eating even if eating is a protein shake. Good luck and stay on course!!!!

    No excuses. Just need help.

@@2muchfun, "Whatever you do, you'll have to make a commitment or you'll continue to be wishy-washy?" Commitment is key. Good advice as always. One thing I try I remind myself daily is that it doesn't matter how I FEEL about my food choices. What matters is what I DO. @, "OR I could put my big girl panties on, suck it up, and make the right choices to get me where I want to be. It's difficult but I did it and you CAN do it too. And don't beat yourself up about the mistakes you've made. You're human" Ha! I've gone down two sizes in panties, thankyouverymuch. Lol. You're right. And I'm not beating myself up due to my month of bouncing around with food. Today is a new day and I just had a Protein bar and some nuts so I'm not starving by mid afternoon. Yay for being human! Thanks, friends. Just what I needed to read just when I needed it.

Good point. Oh yeah, stress big time. I'm addressing the stress but I was still choosing comfort food and drinks like Starbucks skinny mochas. Skinny my butt. Thanks for the reply. I'm going to check this thread throughout the day to keep myself on track and motivated. Thank you.

    I just want answers!?!?!

I am so sorry you had this scary experience. Please bug the doctors until you get answers. I have not had his happen but a relative once had a medical emergency and gained over 40 pounds of fluid in a matter of a few days, so I've seen it first hand. Good luck and let us know what you find out.

    Scale

I flat out tell people now that it's "a lot" and the number is personal. I joke it off. "You KNOW I'm not going to tell you that number, right? "
  12. Happy band day! Karate chops on your neck and shoulders. Walk. Prune juice to prevent constipation from pain medicine. Welcome to your new life!

    So disheartened and defeated.

The big picture! Amazing weight loss so far. You've changed your whole life. Your body is going through complete re-education. Please pat yourself on the back and see the long view. Your weight loss is an inspiration and NOT a failure in any way. Talk to your team and get answers. And then be patient with yourself. Let your body do what it needs to do to lose in a healthy way. Congratulations and thank you for sharing your very real SUCCESSFUL experience!

    Women critical of other women

We have to advocate for ourselves. We've been doormats for too long. And losing weight to "get the guy"..... Don't even get me started.

    Dont be a b***h

Remember the Elton John song from the 70s called "The B!+€# is Back"? My school had "bring your favorite '45 to music class" day. A kid brought that record to class and was promptly sent to the principal's office.

New start to a new ME

So glad I got the band. It's not a cakewalk but it works.
  18. You need more sleep. 5-1/2 hours every day is not enough. I say this as I post to a WLS board at 3am because I woke up yet again. I've seen a few articles recently about the correlation between obesity and sleep deprivation. Also, the hunger at this stage is normal. Difficult to deal with but normal. Good luck. I hope you can find a way to get more sleep in your routine.

More likely to get stuck after a fill?

Yes. Chew and eat very slowly. Pay close attention to stop signals. Good luck!

    Fitness tracker opinions

I have a FitBit One and wear it on my bra. I also wear it to sleep. Love it. It syncs with MyFitnessPal and my iPhone. I didn't want to wear anything on my wrist.
  23. You hear your stomach grumble when you lie down to go to sleep and instead of ravenously raiding the fridge, you check MyFitnessPal and know that you've had enough today, you're not really hungry, and those noises mean you might see a loss on the scale in the morning, so BRING IT!

    Say (Low Fat) Cheese

I generally despise fat free cheese. Why bother? But I found a really good low fat cheese stick this week. Trader Joe's Light Mild Cheddar Cheese Snack Sticks. 70 calories. I tried a sample in the store and liked it, much to my surprise. It made a good breakfast on the run today.
