I am here just starting my journey to surgery. My insurance requires a 90 day multidiciplinary program. I am almost half way through. When I was in middle school and high school, I was very athletic. I was always heavier than everyone else at 5'7" and 180 pounds. I felt really good, I played basketball, volleyball, and softball. When I was a senior in high school, my dad committed sucide. My world turned upside down. I gained 100 pouds within 6 months of his passing. 6 months after my Dad passed, my mother was diagnosed with cancer, 5 long years later she passed away. I guess I ate my emotions. I was always worried about how everyone else was doing and never really took care of myself in that way. God blessed me with a little boy about two years ago. I am doing this so that I can be around for him. I want to be there to see him graduate high school, finish college, get married, and have babies. All of these things one or both of my parents missed. On what could be a very joyful occaision turns into a sad mourning occaision when you wish that someone was there to support you or see how far you have come.
