Welcome to Lap Band Talk.This is a great site to get all your questions answered before and after surgery.This is the site I started on,before I had my surgery 6/23/08.Everyone was so nice and willing to answer any questions I had.So good luck on your new adventure in life.It's a great ride.I myself have lost 67Lbs since being banded,and I feel great.

I was taught in Nursing school that a clear liquid is.When you can see the bottom of your cup.Good Luck!

If you are going to drink up to just prior to eating then I would wait at least an hour after eating to drink.

I agree with Joe my doc said the same thing 30min before meals stop drinking and 30 min.after a meal.I sometimes find my self going longer than 30 min.after unless I eat a lot of garlic.I'm 7 months out.Good Luck!

The same thing happened to me.I told the Doc that I could still eat like I did,but I knew I had to control myself til I got the 1st fill.Don't get frustrated it will happen.Everybody's body is different. -
Where do you buy the Protein bullets?I've never heard of them.I could use them.I only get enough protein with the shakes.Thanks

You do not have to cut them off.During the surgery they can be taped down.I never heard of canceling surgery because jewelry could not be removed. -

Personally I like the pre mixed shakes by EAS Walmart carries them.I don't care for the French Vanilla personally.I like the chocolate and strawberry. -

clear liquids are anything you can see to the bottom of the cup.Beer doesn't count.LOL

Unable to burp or belch

Jodi, I have the exact same issue since my band was tighten.I use to be able to burp so loud my husband would say I could shake the walls.Now my kids keep trying to challenge me and I can't do it.I usually hiccup once after I eat a meal.Then I know I'm full.
