You can do anything you put your mind to. You can read success stories on this site of men and women who weighed over 400 that have lost hundreds. Lap-band is slower but is well worth it. you can do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good Luck. -

Bmjohnson replied to Lndrn723's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I dont even own a scale. I weigh once a month at the doctors office. Dont get frustrated. But i would try just weighing once a week. Just my opinion. -
Miss you most- soft drinks (dr. Pepper at a friday night football game) Dont miss you at all- being out of breath all the time and my size 24 pants

Hey! My hubby had lapband in february. His starting weight was 354 and he has currently lost 89 lbs! Did you hear that? 89 lbs! He is doing great and i wish you all the best on your journey. -
My mom would have been the same way. I didnt decide to have WLS til after she passed away. But i do wish sometimes that she was here to rant at me and tell me that I made a mistake. Then i would just tell her that it was my decision and to get over it. lol. Take the attitude from her in stride and just be happy with the decision that YOU made. Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you think I need a fill? Can you eat rice?
Bmjohnson replied to jkitch's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
so agree with MRSTO. If i have carbs early in the day then i crave them all day. I start off with one egg in the morning about 6am and im pretty good till lunch. -

ok so ill add one to this growing list. It amazes me that my hubby (who had WLS the month before me) and myself can hug each other without having to lean into each other over our bellies. and the sex just gets better and better. sorry tmi! -
Leepers, thank you for the article. It was very informative. Made me look at the band in a whole new way.

Bmjohnson replied to sleepy12's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I weigh once a month. I dont even own a scale at home, i weigh at the doctors office. Dont get discouraged. Just have someone hide your scale for a couple of weeks. -
What is the funniest thing you remember after surgery? Or do you have a funny experience?
Bmjohnson replied to CTRose1160's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
The day of my surgery I was very weepy due to the fact that i was afraid that my liver wasnt shriveled enough for surgery (my surgery was scheduled pretty quick and i only did about 7 days of a two week high protein diet). when I woke up after surgery I cried and asked the nurse, " Was my liver small enough?" I could hear her laughing and she said yes sweetheart you did great. -
