Hi all my name jenny and I love in the N.Y area. I was sleeved on 2/24/14 so I'm one week out today. Hallelujah! So glad for this forum to assist me on this journey. My first week was a little rough but with Gods grace I survived. Yes, it does get better. I have no regrets because at the end of the day I'm gonna be healthier than I've ever been. My sister and cousin were both sleeved on 2013 an were my motivation to getting healthy. I'm so excited for this new chapter in my life and pray for the best for everyone else on this path. Will keep you all posted on my progress. :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

Weave or braids: What to do with hair for surgery?
jennyR3 replied to Disabledaccount's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I was sleeved on 2/24/14 my hair is natural, so two simple french braids worked for me. I was able to keep my hair till Saturday then redid it. I think the key to maybe preventing hair loss is taking your Vitamins. Pre op to took vitamins B12, Biotin and Calcium with D3. I plan on resuming once I'm cleared. Hope this will help someone in the long run. -

Thanks so much guys for all the suggestions. It does seem to get better each day. I was at church yesterday though and found that sitting to long doesn't agree with me right now. Has anyone had that experience, with sitting to long? I also need some suggesting on protein drinks and where I can't find them please.

Hi. I'm had my surgery on Feb. 24 2014 and looking to establish a support system. So far I've encountered issues with gas anf not being able to burp like I used to. This has caused ne some discomfort but I'm trying to deal with it. I also feel like I'm not getting in enough liquids or Protein. Would gladly consider any suggestions to help on this journey.
