Does anyone know of a good way to get rid of your old Harley Davidson or riding clothes/gear that is now too big? I have a very expensive leather and crystal Harley jacket along with some fleece jackets, tank tops, t-shirts, chaps etc... that are too big. I hate to just give them to goodwill. I have listed some on Craigslist recently and will see how that goes. I think they should start a clothing swap site somewhere too! If anyone is interested most of my stuff is XXL or 2W.

I'll be 6 months out on September 11th and for the past two weeks ive been losing lots of hair. Taking vitamins and doing what im suppose to. What have others experienced?

Busymomof3, yes I still have lots of stuff left. I have sold my leather jacket on Craigslist but still have chaps, t-shirts, fleece and nylon jackets and lots of other stuff. However I prefer to deal locally with someone in the Atlanta area but I will entertain a long distance inquiry....

Thanks Sophie's choice! Yes my nails and eyebrow hair are growing just fine. I think, hope and pray that the hair on my head will stop falling out soon. I may give the Biotin a shot....seems as if some people say it works and others don't so much, guess like everything in life, will just have to find what works best for me. I read about hair loss pre-surgery but hadn't had any issues until recently. I really think it has something to do with the double whammy appendix surgery.

Thanks ladies. I should have mentioned in my original post too that I had to have an emergency appendectomy at the end of June, just about 3 1/2 months after my sleeve. I suppose with the two surgeries within that short of a time it has wreaked havock on my system. I have fine hair but have always been told I have a ton of it. My hair is a little longer than shoulder lenght and my husband can't really tell the difference but I sure can. Especially when I can wrap a scrunchie or rubberband around my ponytail several more times than I used to. I sure hope it slows down soon!!!!

I am a 49 yr-old female who had an emergency appendectomy after going to ER Friday night ( surgery didn’t actually occur until 2am Saturday ) They said my appendix was NOT ruptured but was really nasty. They had a really hard time getting IV’s in me and therefore kept a bag of Sodium Chloride? dripping all the time once I got there and even then they had to change out my IV 4 times to different locations. Back on March 11 of this year I had a a gastric sleeve done. No complications at all. Went home in about 17 hours. No nausea or vomiting. I had lost 47 pounds when I went to ER for pain this past Friday. I thought it might have been another Kidney stone, had those in the past or possibly gallbladder ( heard those are common for weight loss patients ) Anyway, after my surgery in wee hours of Saturday morning I still felt very crappy, Doc said they were going to keep me another night or two due to the infection chances from my “Nasty” appendix, but again didn’t mention that it had busted or anything and kept giving me bags of sodium chloride ?? and bags of antibiotics. Sunday morning because I was in sooooo much pain they ordered a contrast CT where I had to drink lots of this lemonade tasting stuff before the test. They said everything seemed fine for someone at this point so soon post -op. My question is should I feel this crappy still ( 10 x worse than Gastric Sleeve procedure ) and MORE CONCERNING, why have I gained 15 pounds in 3 days? I feel like I’ve been punched and beat up severely. I don’t want my surgeon to think I’m questioning him or the results of the CT on Sunday, but is this pain and WEIGHT GAIN normal? I really appreciate your responses I don’t want to proceed with my doc ( which was the ER on call but from highly respected clinic in our area ) unless this seems abnormal. I have a follow-up Thursday in his office because we are leaving for vacation on Saturday, July 5th.

I was sleeved march 11th and have lost 32 lbs, however the past 8 days I have not lost anything and actually gained 5oz. Has anyone else experienced this at 8 weeks? I went to the nutritionist at 6 weeks and she reviewed my myfitnesspal food habits and said I was right on track, so I'm confused why I started stalling! It's so disheartening ! Any help?

. Did you have a hiatal hernia repair same time as your sleeve? In did and know the pain you are referring to. I was told it would go away after about 6 weeks.

Hi, I waited 3 days....like another post, just took it easy and quick ( from behind, def couldn't take him laying on top of me )...it was fine. Did it again 2 days later, same way....just have to be easy!

I am scheduled for surgery in a couple weeks and have my pre-op meeting Monday. I am wondering if my doctor will be offended by me asking questions about the boogie size and if he oversews. He is very well respected in our area ....what has been the experience for most of you
