My name is Angela. I am a mother of two beautiful, funny, energetic children. This year marks the fifth anniversary of my wedding day. I am in the process of getting weight loss surgery. I have been considering surgery for a very long time, but wanted to make sure I tried everything else first. I did online weight loss programs, diet and exercise changes, weight loss drinks, pills, the works. I could get some of the weight off, but never keep it off. I have realized that I deserve more. I deserve to have the energy to play with my children. I deserve to live long enough to see my grandchildren get married. So, weight loss surgery it is. I have done my consultation, am in the process of doing the weight loss program required for insurance, have had my pulse ox done (and don't need the sleep study, YAY!). All I am waiting on is finishing the insurance required 'program' (about six more weeks!) and then the final blood work/tests that are needed for pre op. I am looking at having the surgery sometime in the next two months. I am nervous, scared, but more excited and relieved to be doing this. I am looking forward to being healthy and being able to do FUN things that I am not able to do now. I want to ride a bike, roller skate, jump on a trampoline! This is the start of something wonderful and I can't wait!
