yes, my manager, who is as overweight as I am, mentioned to me "i'd rather be fat" and "cant you low-carb without having surgery" both were very discouraging and made me wish I didn't tell anybody. but I know this is what I want. keep at it girl. you got this!

my manager has said the same thing ... to me its like i love being fat ive always been it but there comes a point in my life i want to be healthy theres so much more to the world then food.... and some just need a little extra help to see that... without the surgery id be in a wheel chair in a few years ... i would just expect some people im close to as i thought i was with my co worker to show some type of support vs. kicking me while im already down ... its crazy how a stranger gives more encouragement then someone i know... so thank you

I would just tell them......"Hmmmm, I haven't really come upon anything in life where the idea is to find the hardest way to do something.........just sayin" That should shut them up.....
