thanks enjoythetime and Lisa...I will call the doctor today about it...you can't see it really with my glasses on but really in your face when I take them off and I need to do that when I am reading or on the computer. so the only thing I know I am doing differently is water walking in a salt water pool...so I really don't get my face wet LOL...but maybe he will know. as for water/fluid comsumption...I drink about 128 oz a day. my dietitian says to drink half my weight...its rough some days. Ladies thanks again so much...and just on a high note, I am down unofficially (my scales) down 44 lbs YEAH!!! sorry just a really bit happy!!! LOL

I get so excited when I am in the pool to exercise...in 45 minutes I did all of my leg/ab exercises and actually found out only 1/2 mile is done when I do 16 back and forths, so this week I have upped my ante...walked my first 1/2 miles and then my exercises and then I walk 1/2 mile again...did them all in 45 minutes...this is really great for me anyways. LOL!!! Going to start going on Saturday mornings too starting this week...Yeah Me!!! Sorry a bit on happy street this morning...finally I am down too although its unofficial 44 lbs!!! Hope you all have a great day.!!!!!

I feel the same way ladies...have 4 cc and still no restrictive feelings and I can feel feelings of being full at times other time nothing. I have had stuck issues though...and know its when I get in a hurry...using my slow eat app on phone has helped with that though. but it is very frustrating...seems like we are doing all the work and the band isn't doing much...but no matter what I am trying hard to stay on track. its been a rough 3 weeks but maybe it will get better soon...hope you both start feeling something as well!!! best wishes!!!
-
sorry Kelmat I don't get headaches hardly any longer...if it is something you notice as a normal thing after a fill (if this has occurred already before) you need to tell your doctor okay? hope you get to feel better soon sweetie...let us know okay?
-
ksc1965 I dont think you have done anything wrong maybe started to eat maybe a day too early. I only have 4 cc at 3 fills, so not too sure if that is what is going on, but if you chewed well and waited inbetween your bites, maybe you just need to go back to liquids for at least one more day...if by Monday you don't feel better, maybe call your doctor and see what he thinks...I sure hope you feel better soon and Congrats on Band Land!!! hope to hear from you soon.

Just uploaded an app on my phone to help me with eating slower, called Eat Slow!!! it is great!!! Thanks Gloria Nayely!!!

Good bar-b-que sauce with minimal sugar?
Mikee57 replied to lisavz's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
was gonna tell ya about Walden Farms too but JeanZ_Rn got to ya first, they have alot of items sauces, drinks, dressings, ketchup etc online mostly but can find some at Krogers or Publix down south...a bit more expensive, but to me well worth it...since I am the only one that uses it in my home. hope that helps...also do mayo and spat. sauce's too btw. hope that helps. but do a google search for sugar free recipes there are lots of those out there as well you can make yourself as well, best wishes lisavz...see ya in the post!!! -
Redstorm I was just going to ask if the crutches helped with a workout, lol!!! but just an idea...since you are down and out for a bit...how about working on some isolation exercises, like dumbells and sit up and stretches? ya know more like toning exercises that you can do just sitting on the sofa...since my knee were replaced I can't get up and down off the floor well, I do my sit ups on the ottoman...maybe not the best of places to do them, but it at least is something. I do a lot of toning exercises for my arms just sitting on the sofa too...and with my legs...just some suggestions. I am back doing my knee surgery exercises in my bed again too...although that leg with the boot will be a bit of a challenge...just some ideas hope some of them help sweetie. hang in there, feel better soon, talk with you on here again soon I hope.

Starting mushies on Wednesday - need protein ideas
Mikee57 replied to Cindi2014's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Cindi2014 during my mushy stage I ate alot of tuna and softer fish any kind I could mush with the back of my fork...at least that was fine with my doctor!!! I couldn't stand the thought of food in the processor...so whatever I chose I merely mushed up really good. think of stuff you like and see if you can do that with your choices. but like I said I ate alot of tuna fish, chicken in the can and fish tilapia and salmon...I'm not a big fish person but I did what I had to do to get past this stage. best wishes on this and will be looking forward to more posts from you...take care!!! -

Scared and Execited at the same time
Mikee57 replied to jaedwards's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
jaedwards...I was put on the sugar busters diet for my pre-op so I did get a chance to plan my last meal and was very leary of staying away from the sugar but had a good meal actually, just made sure it was under my 7 grams of a day. it is also normal to be scared and excited at the same time. you will do fine and we will be here for you afterwards. just make sure that you listen and follow the instructions that you doctor give you after surgery, don't give up and things will be just fine. please know you will be uncomfortable after surgery it is not simple surgery...so embrace that okay? you will feel better everyday a little better everyday okay...but don't think its all fun and games...not trying to scare you but being honest with you. I'm here if you need me, but there are loads on here that have such good advice, so trust them...HealthyNewMe, Gowalking, TooMuchFun, Catfish87, LisaCaron, Bandista...they are good to call upon too okay...so know that I will be thinking of you dearheart. you will do just fine and look 10 lbs already!!! Yeah!!!! -
pool and more new exercises, got my mile down to 15 minutes Yeah Me!!! lol
-
we have to do liquids for at least 2 days after a fill. my fills are done in my port left chest area, so latacane first and then they use a needle to add the fill. I have had 3 fills now and have 4 ccs, don't feel much restriction yet...but I so am feeling those satietion feelings this time...it's telling me to stop and I am stopping I am so proud of myself...Yeah
-
well until I get past the new training schedule only allowed 3 days a week for now...for at least the first 4 weeks, so I am trying to add in little things during the days that I can exercise and increase my level of walking on those in-between days. my legs ache badly but they will get used to it I am sure. no pool for two days, but loads of cleaning and walking in loads of different venues. so although its a little slower on weekend for right now, I am still moving. hope everyone has had a great Mothers Day and weekend!!!

Happy Mothers Day from BariatricPal!
Mikee57 replied to Alex Brecher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Thanks Alex -
I was actually put on the Sugar Buster diet before my surgery and it made it really alot easier...could eat what I wanted (portions of course-smaller) and had to keep sugar under 7 grams a day, it was really easy...could even eat bread (sugar free)...so I can't empathize with those of you on the liquid diets pre-op. I lost 11 lbs before surgery. so what I would say to you tashautah is to get back on track with what your surgeon put you on and stick to it. you can do this, its the matter of your health and where you want to be a year from now!!! so hang in there sweetie you can do this!!! please try again...you were very brave to let us know you cheated!!! I will be thinking of you dearheart!!!
