    Struggling

Well Lana08...I think you are doing awesome!!! and there has been lots of suggestions giving on this post...so best wishes to you that you get off that plateau and get moving in the right direction. Nothing is simple with the lap band we are all on a learning curve...but it is a good thing to learn something new everyday!!! So hang in there...the needle will move soon if you listen to some of these wise folks!!! As for Brenda1958...please don't kick yourself so much...you are farther along than I am...but sometimes I feel that I eat too much too. I was told increasing my Protein each day would help...so I did and it works!!! just remember that when they say eat about a cup a food per meal that you have to do your part too, the band only works if the bander does their part too. You'll be fine...but according to loads of folks on here...you might need another fill...I'd get back in touch with my doctor if I were you. I am sending you some prayers that things get better for you soon!!! To all that made posts on here...YOU ARE ALL THE BOMB!!! I JUST LOVE YOUR IDEAS-THEY ARE GETTING ME THROUGH EACH DAY!!!

  4. I have seen on here loads of people who had to go on a liquid diet before surgery, I was told to go on the Sugar Busters diet...it wasn't hard at all and I lost on it too...sorry you are having such difficulities. It does get better though...just have to understand somethings are just never going to be the same!!! But hang in there you'll do great!!!

    Popcorn

I'm almost 3 mths out and I tried alittle of it the other night...it didn't hurt or anything...but was worried about eating too much...so I stuck to having just a few pieces. hope you at least try it to see if you can handle it or not. I know i get very fearful of certain foods myself after reading these posts. so at least try it...then you'll have your own answer-that is once you are at that stage!!! best wishes to ya!!
  6. mine are sideways and half of me...sorry I can't help
  7. it is so funny how sometimes we can be tight and other days not so much!!! this band is a whole new experience learning something new all the time. I have started using those P3 packs for my breakfast...they are simple and just enough...they hold me over most of the time...then I can drink my water until lunch. and I have to say a good BURP is always very welcomed sometimes for me too. So happy burping to all you bandsters out there!!! Have a great day!!!
  8. Hoping you get into your doctor or EC soon...I'm new at this but it doesn't sound good that you can't eat or drink!!! Let us know how you are doing!!!
  9. Hello my fellow Bandsters!!! I was hoping that someone might be able to tell me the difference between the 1st fill to the 2nd? I haven't felt like there was any restrictions with my 1st fill unless I happened to eat to fast or got stuck...so am alittle scared about fill 2!!! I know they will be adding at least 1 cc I think...what can I expect? Is there more pain or anything like that? Do I have to be really careful on what I eat? I know for first few days back on liquids...but just wondered if you can really tell the restrictions...this will be a total of 3 cc's!!! Thanks for any information/advice you can offer!!!

2 yrs in, no weight loss!

chubby1976 it sounds like you are moving forward I am so happy for you...lots of good advice on here so I have read...so I can only agree with what has been said. Get your provider involved with your progress and make sure all is well with your band...make sure you are getting in 60-80 grams of protein, drink lots of water and other non-calorie drinks (I like protein shakes and bars) they help me alot. I too am looking at getting some exercising in-due to some health issues...I am going to try to get it through physical therapy...then maybe with alittle more weight off I can start doing more. So hang in there...things are looking up right now for you. So many wise people on this site...glad you found us!!! Will be keeping you in my prayers...keep in touch okay?

I feel like i'm lying to people!

I don't tell folks that I don't want to know that I had the lap band...I tell them I have done what I had to do to get healthy and leave it at that. its funny how some people do react when you tell them the truth I had a person who had this surgery and lost alot of weight told me she'd be here for me, but is no longer...so even some that have had the surgery and have gotten to their goals forget about the struggle. hang in there rigonj...you sound like you have it together and your right not everyone does need to knowabout the surgery...that's your business. glad to have read your post...thanks!!!
  18. Congrats to all of you having surgery in April and May...will be thinking good thoughts for all of you. Remember to keep up on here (these lap band forums) there are lots of very wise folks on here and you can ask just about everything. But remember to ask your doctors/their staff for any health issues you are facing first okay!!! God bless!!!

Yawning.? Nose dripping? SOFT SPOT? Say what?

nothing like that has happened to me either, but I do hiccup or burp when it is time to stop. so maybe those are my triggers. are you doing anything different when your eating? I am learning to slow down really alot and when I get those hiccups it is time for me to stop...even though I might not feel I am done...they tell me I'm done. hope you know its different for everyone!!! glad we could chat!!!
