bbyruth...Congrats you are moving right along...the fills are no problem, they numb ya up and then do ur fill...keep up the good work and exercising and all the good food too...you will do great. It is good u r staying away from the scales they can be ur worse enemy, so wait until u go for ur fills, you will be amazed on how much better u will feel once u do it that way!!! Congrats again welcome to Bandland!!! BTW enjoythetime is a really great advisor...keep her on your friends list!!!

thank you skinnyhereicome!!! they keep telling me that (it can take awhile to get the green zone and start losing) and I get so upset with myself! so thanks for letting me know that...I see you had ur surgery last January (2013)...so nice to know that maybe by next January I will be down a good amount!! thanks again.

losingsoon...I too suffer from depression and am pretty much in the same boat as you are with the husband. I went off my meds once I had lost my first 30 lbs, and am trying really hard to stay positive and I contribute that to those on this website...they have helped me thru a lot the ups and the downs of things with Lap-band. So sweet lady we will be here for ya okay!!! Go for it...I did!!!

TMF, I am so far behind those that had their surgery in January 2014 I can't figure out why I can't seem to lose anymore than 2 or 4 lbs every 4 weeks...I am so frustrated. You still inspire me, so thanks!!!

I've decided I am so far behind everyone posting on this post, I need to go hide my head somewhere...LOL!!! I would be lucky to beable to walk a mile let alone do all these 5K's folks are talking about let alone those doing 2 in one day...LOL!!! So I'll go soak my head in the pool while I walk my mile!!! LOLRH...Hooray to all of you doing your 5K's and riding your bikes for 35 miles a day....keep on keeping on!!!

I have been stuck (not eating) here for the longest time, sad, mad and glad all at once...but hanging in there still, next fill is the 16th, still not at the green zone, but managing...hoping and praying this is the time...but never know...a bit tired of it but will hang in there!!! gbb77901 so glad to hear you are having your surgery in August...I will be on the look out for your posts!!! let us know if you need anything...but always listen to your doctor okay...we can be sounding blocks-but remember he/she are the ones that will have done your surgery-so if in doubt-seek them out!!! you hang in there and almost Welcome to Band-Land sweetie...thinking only good thoughts for you!!!

I find most of the pre-mixed shakes have so much sugar...does anyone know how much there are in the ones you are using? I know the Core Power Lights shakes have about 11 g...I try to stay under 5 g if I can. Thanks for any suggestions.

my doctor said as tolerated...I drink maybe 2 cups in the morning...and maybe one at work if it's a hectic day it hasn't ever bothered me. but like most say some doctors say yes and/or no...sorry you can't seem to manage it. I love my hot tea at night too...I am Keurig spoiled!!! LOL

My surgeon did the first fill (he operates on Thursdays and Fridays) he has a bariatric clinic that does the rest of them, but they don't do them on Fridays either...only unfills if needed. I think most places are set up like this...the only thing you can do is ask for an exception to the rule...or like you said work around your husbands schedule. So sorry to hear about his health issue...I will keep him in my prayers okay...monkeysnana09!!! Take care!!!

rose2014 You seemed to be really early for a first fill...but all doctors are different...those first few weeks your band is still getting into place and you are healing. so just be really careful as to what you are eating...because you need to remember you are still healing okay!!! Let me know if you have need me okay? Congrats and welcome on board the Lap-Band wagon!!!

I haven't had trouble with coffee...and am thankful to that...but I have read on here some folks that have had issues...so I think it's normal. Hope other things are going well for you though...you take care okay? Happy 4th of July to ya!!!

Well today is casual day at work (only have one a month) and I had a very special NSV this morning indeed. I really haven't tried on any of my jeans, just feeling I would just have to get used to not ever beable to wear them. I do wear liquid knit pants and have gone down in sizes in them and they feel good that I am down 2 to 3 sizes in them. So I decided I would try on my jeans in the larger size 20's, but something told me to take out the 18's as well. So instead of trying the 20's on at first I tried the 18's and low and behold they fit and not even too tightly!!! I am losing slowly...and don't see a lot of it-in the mirror...but this helped me realize that it is coming off...just very slowly!!! But I am a very happy person this morning. Got into my 18's and an XL (not a plus size either) hospital t-shirt. So happy...thanks WLS!!! It is working!

well LadyDiva618...I'm sorry to hear about your move...but it sounds like you will be okay...you have a great attitude. your past headaches will now be her's...you are the better person for it sweetie. I know we are all very versatile with our new live styles so I know you will do just fine. But isn't it nice to be able to vent...we are all good listeners...as you are too!!! Hang in there girlie!!! You'll do just fine...thinking only good thought for you!

I use Body Fortress from Walmart they have numerous flavors and they taste great to me...I add a scoop and my favorite additives to them will skim milk or coffee and fruits and they are very filling to me.

Countryheart2000...my surgeon goes slow on the fills as well, so I am at the mercy of my own resistance of watching what I put in my mouth. I wish you well also!!! Redstorm sorry it took so long for them to find your port and the bleeding...hope it is better the next fill for you. Or they find if it flipped or not. Best wishes for you!
