    I am scared

was never offered a Pysch eval...probably would have been a good idea and if you are having some trouble deciding on what to do next, TatotTot, that might be something you should look into. this new life after wls is not easy, it is something you will have to work at...I am only 3 mths out, but find that many of my bad choices that I had made in my past have been easily let go of...for me it is just determination that I am going to get healthy. I have a long way to go, but there are so many great folks on this forum that have offered such good/sound advice I am not sure where I would be without them. if you don't post an issue you are having you most likely will be able to read someone else's post that is having the same problem. so hope you decide to move forward with your wls decision and wish you the best on whatever you decide on...we are all here for ya!!! Take Care...love that "TatorTot" name btw...LOLRH

    my breakfast plate

My hubs loves to go to Huddle House and I am not a very big fan...but I manage...I ordered french toast with sf syrup, scrambled eggbeaters and bacon. I was so surprised when I remembered to eat slowly (first time trying bread of any type) and felt just right when I stopped, about 5 bits of eggs, half piece of bacon (gave the rest to hubs) and ate 1 piece of french toast. getting this eating slow and small bites down...thanks everyone for your help. in a bit of a slow down right now, but this too will pass as you all have told me!!!

    Confused, frustrated, need help

have been very disappointed myself lately...stayed at 36 lbs lose for two weeks...went to dietian and she told me I needed to increase my daily intake...went up 4 lbs and now have lost 2 of them...it is very frustrating...not whining...just wish I could figure this band out...I have 3 cc's in now and feel absolutely no restrictions...get stuck if I am not mindful of my chewing...but am doing lots better with that too. so Kandy12, just hang in there girl and we will be so on track it will be crazy!!! Thanks everyone for your comments not only do they help those that are asking but those of us that are having the same issues...you're ALL the BESTEST!!!

    Milk ... need thoughts

I just started eating cheese and yogurt (dietian said I needed to add to my daily food intake) and use fat free milk with my protein shakes and I take Calcium w/D twice a day. Many ways to do it...but feel you need to see if your surgeon can recommend a dietian for you to sit down with...that is what mine did!!!

    First fill today

Srock...I don't feel any restriction either...I'm at 3 cc's after my 2nd fill just last week...getting very frustrated...but hope it get's better for you soon...my next fill is on 5/8/14 and looking forward to it. The dietian told me I needed to increase my daily food intake...now I'm up...UGH!!! Hang in there I am going to try to just reduce what I am eating...cuz this increase in food has only made me gain. I'm here for ya sweetie!!!

I'm new to this suuport group

lapbandfeb2014 and Karad...I'm out about 3 mths now...what still struggle with slowing down my eating...causes sticks and no satiety feelings...so I am looking at a clock now while I eat...I wait at least a minute between bits. I am slow at losing as well, cause I can't exercise yet either (knee replacements) have onlost 36 lbs (include weight lost before surgery). I am told I am doing fine...but I have a tendency to compare myself to others that are really doing exercising. So although we will be a littel slower we will be looking marvelous in no time!!! Hang in there ladies...glad to see you on here...hope to chat again soon!!!

    drinking too much

Well I am almost 3 months out...I didn't have trouble drinking either after surgery as long as I didn't gulp my water. As for bread I can eat it, but try not to eat much of it and only wheat or rye or pumpernickel when I do...even had a half of bread stick from Olive Garden without all that butter and stuff on it. It is totally up to you I suppose...I just don't want a stick with bread so I am very easy on it. So never say never...try it, if it works I would just say be careful how much of it you eat. Best wishes to all on this post!!! Have a great day!!!
