i went to the dr today I"m 25weeks and have gained 20lbs. I was kinda sad, my first I only gained 13lbs and my second son I only gained 7lbs. So I'm bummed about it. I do have a complete unfill. I figured my body was use to the amount it was eating with my band filled so I was gonna gain some weight. My Dr said no fill until after 6 to 8 weeks. I don't know if its cause I'm having a c-section. I just want to get back on track to losing after this baby comes in Nov.

I had the exact situation today. I am 11 weeks today. I went in hoping to hear the heart beat with the doppler and she even asked me to pull up my belly fat, talk about embarassing. She was really nice about it and said she didn't think we would hear it yet but she pulled up an ultrasound cart cause she wanted to see the heart beat. Pull up on my belly again and she said the baby was moving alot and said we wouldn't be able to hear through the ultrasound but she said she could see it. I didn't see it. But she sounded confident. I was letting her know about my lapband and she said her girlfriend had gotten the band and lost 120lbs in a year. Then I felt a little crappy cause I only lost 46lbs in the year. Oh well. I had my fill completly removed 3 weeks ago and have gained 3lbs. Lets hope that scale stays there. I only gained 13lbs with my first son and 7lbs with my second. Lets cross our fingers that things don't get out of control. I get a first trimester screening ultrsound next week, hope all turns out well with it.

We have two boys (9) and (5) we are hoping GIRL! Rants: My back hurts, I have ligament pains already and time has slowed down. I already feel like i've been pregos forever and I only found out 4 1/2 weeks ago. AHHHHH Raves: Wow I can't believe how it feels to actually eat and not get anything stuck or uncomfortable. I have learned in the last year that its ok to not finish all my food which has now helped me now that I have unfilled my band I know when I am satisfied. I got an unfill on 4/21. Anything else: We were done having kids, especially since I have always had infertility problems and had to do IVF with my 2nd son. So this was a BIG surprise for us. Ginaki, I know how you feel. My kids are 9 and 5 and like you we were done. I wanted to focus on my band and losing the weight. But I look at it as things happen for a reason. My band is too tight too. I PB at least once a day and I'm 7 weeks tomorrow and thinking I'm too old to be having another kid at 37. But I will take it as a blessing and hope to have a healthy little one and deal with my band in 9 months.

Ladies there is a sign of hope with infertility. I was overweight with child number one and hadn't had a period in 9 months and got pregnant. My dr said that I may had won the lottery cause my chances of getting pregnant were slim to non cause no period and being overweight. After child number one was born, now 9 we started trying right away 4 years later still nothing started infertilty treatments and still nothing. Then tried IVF and got prego with child number 2, now 5 and spent well over 30K on infertilty treatments. I was banded in Apr 20, 2007 and down 46lbs but still no period since OCT but just found out I am just about 7 weeks pregnant. Which is a huge surprise since we were done and assumed no more kids, even though I always wanted 3. I just thought it hasn't happend in 5 yrs why will it now that im 37. Wow I wish I would have gotten the band back before we spent so much money on infertilty. I've now heard that in Europe they call the band an infertility band due to the fact that so many women get pregnant after losing some weight. I'm hoping not to gain my weight back and after I have the baby I still have about 75lbs to still lose but we are excited for our new little addition. There is hope for everyone.

I had surgery with Dr. Ortiz back in April and it was a wonderful experience. I've gone back twice for fills and have always had great treatment with them. I live in Surprise and the day I had surgery one of the other gals also using Dr. Ortiz was from Surprise also. So she has been my lapband buddy ever since. What a small world!

I flew into San Diego this morning, our flight almost got cancelled boy was it a rough flight but I was there for a fill at Dr. Ortiz. The fill dr said Dr. Ortiz owns a ranch outside san diego that they think might have burned down. People in San diego and TJ were wearing mask. It was diff a rough day to be there. I took the 1st flight I could get home and was lucky enough to get home safe. I feel awful for those poor people. So many people have gotten evacuated. Its terrible.

I'm also new to this group. I had lapband on Apr 20, 2007 and have lost 30lbs to date. Just wanted to say hello.
