I have been banded sence Aug. I didn't do enough research, decided in Aug and had it done right away. It is much harder than expected, I wanted a quick fix and it is not. I have lost 30lbs, love that part. But many times food gets stuck and it hurts! You have to learn to listen to your body and chew like crazy and eat slowly. Also I am exercising about 4x a week. The good news is my cholestrol is now at 168!! Because you have to think when you are eating it is a contant reminder, which is good. If I had known it was going to be like this I think I would have given dieting and exercising another shot. But so easy to slide. My Dr. says eat protein first and that means meat! :smile::confused: I need some help or advice. I had my surg. Aug 30th have only lost 27lbs. I haven't lost anything for 2 months! Had my 3rd fill 2weeks ago and still nothing! Am exercising at least 5x a week for 45min. And eating pretty healthy. I think I am able to eat too much but am afraid to get another fill because the food gets stuck sometimes and it hurts. If I do get another fill, is it going to make it even harder to eat anything? Or is it just going to help me not eat as much? Anyone else experiencing anything similar??:eek:

I too am not losing as fast as I would like. Was banded 8/30/07 and have lost 25lbs. Went in last week for my 2nd fill, was at 1.5 in a 4cc band and she put in .07. Sounds good right? Well after the fill I had no restriction at all! Even before the fill I had a little. So I called and went in again 1 week later. She checked the amt. in the band and I only had .02cc in!:wink2: So ?? Was there a leak? Or did she miss?? I still don't know. But she put in 2ccs and I now have restriction. :wink2: Hope it stays. The reason I am writing this is make sure they remove the saline before they put some back in to know the exact amt. that you have in. Is this common?? Sure hope it works, so tired of not getting results, Have been stuck at this weight for a month! Good luck, let me know if the next fill works for you. Sorry so wordy.

I have some frustration about my fill, any advice etc would be appricated. I got banded on Aug 30th, first fill Oct 15th. (2CC) Have only lost 18 lbs. Just feel like I can eat too much even though I don't usually. Have only lost like 6lbs sence the fill. Haven't lost any this past week, exercising and everything. I don't ever fill really full. Is this because my pouch is too big? Or not enough fill? Suggestions?? Thanks

I was banded on the 30th and am drinking portein water. Helps so much with the energy and hunger. Good luck!

I am 5 days post op and have developed a rash on my left theigh and a little on my stomach. They are like little pimples and they itch. Has anyone else had anything like this?? Guessing it is an alergic reaction to something.:help:

I am scheduled for surgery on Fri the 31st with Dr Lopez in Mexico. Any information?? Also I have a slight cough, not too bad mostly a tickle. Is that going to be a problem? I sure don't want to reschedule as I am all mentally ready for:help: this. Help!
