I haven't posted in here a lot, but I feel like I need some support right now. I'm 75 pounds down which is great but my hair looks gross. I feel super unattractive, I have thin hair to begin with but I could always work with it and get it to look nice. Now I can't do anything :-/.

Yup, I add some dry milk for Protein.

Pain after sleeve surgery?
LWren replied to Skywalker's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had a rougher go then most, I was in a lot of pain and could barley walk the first day and was very drugged out. That being said I was told I was on the worse side of things as far as healing/dealing with pain and I would do it all of again if I had to. -
Good luck!! Yeah I slipped a little but I would like to think I did well as a whole, were all just human. I had a rougher go then most when waking up (found out I was allergic to morphine and some other pain meds) but the pain is well worth it and I'm sure you'll do great!!

I would say don't over buy food, so much of mine went to waste.

RNC111 I'm using my fitness pal, I think it works great it keeps track of how much protein, sugar, fat, sodium, carbs, ect. You can track your water on there too it just doesn't show up on the daily summary.

Weight loss surgery is NOT easy... the things I wished they had warned me about.
LWren replied to Iambeautiful's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I had a really rough go too, I got really sick from two of the meds they gave me. I puked a lot, couldn't eat anything. I thought they were crazy when they wanted me to walk around after a few hours, I was so dizzy I couldn't get past the door. I puked during the leak test from all the moving. During my stay I keep saying my back really hurt and asking if the bed could go down a little, they said no. This ended up giving me a pinched nerve that I'm still dealing with four weeks post op. I feel the same way you do about not being fully warned. I knew about major risks but no one said "your going to be dizzy for the following four days to the point were you can't get out bed" even more annoying at my ten day weightloss center visit she said to me "oh I just saw someone would had surgery the same day as you, they feel great".... Your not alone. -

I'm one week out, and everything smells so bad to me. My parents made turkey and it smelled like hot garbage. Did anyone one else have an issue with foods smelling different and bad?

Pre-op freak out! Help!
LWren replied to Sleeveless in seattle's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I was super stressed out for weeks, I'm not sure I slept at all the whole week before. -
I'm one week post op today! For my insurance I had to wait 9 months so I've been at this for almost a year. The whole time I've been very private about who I tell. My first clue was Christmas when I finally told my sister and It turned out she already knew and was mad I had not told her yet. I had a talk with my mom after that and told her this was very private for me and it was my business who I told and didn't. She got super mad and started going on about family and being proud of what I'm doing. So this past week I've been getting text and phone calls from family and once again she got all mad "why wouldn't you want your aunt to know, she's not going to judge you" because its my business and I'm not ready to tell the whole world... I'm not sure what else I can say to her to get her to stop.....
