Hi my name is Christine. I had a gastric sleeve on December 5, 2013. I have lost 30 lbs and seem to be stalled. I also wound up in the hospital with vertigo last Thursday. I talked to an ENT nurse today who said I need to have tests run to see if it is cardiovascular, neurological or inner ear, but she said 90% of patients are dehydrated. So I found this website while searching for info on dehydration. I did my 2 month followup with the Surgeon's assistant and he said my blood work was all normal. I mentioned I have only been able to get in about 32-40 ounces of water, not my usual from pre-surgery, and he wasn't concerned. Two weeks later I wound up calling the ambulance because I didn't know what was going on. I was awoken from sleep with this black wave of dizziness and nauseau sweeping over me. They put me on meclizine and sent me home. Followed up with doctor and she said it was inner ear infection and put me on antibiotics. Anyway, today, I am focused on getting more water. I also keep having pink/reddish discharge and worried about that. Of course, I forgot to mention that at my followup. I wondered if this is normal or maybe associated with the vertigo. does anyone know?
