  1. Well it's the day after for me and I'm up and about with only minor discomfort. Yesterday was a bit tough but the magic morphine button sorted things out for me. I pretty much slept all day and most of the night part from the frequent visits from the nurses. My first couple of sips of water today have been somewhat interesting with me feeling every drop of it going down but it doesn't hurt so no complaints.
  2. Hi Gesined, I'm not in WA but am locked in for sleeving this coming Wednesday in Brisbane..I'm a little nervous about it all but know the longer term benefits will make it all worthwhile.
  3. Thanks Sue....I guess there's only one way to find out so will see how it goes...
  4. I got some great news, a spot has come up early so I'm now scheduled to be sleeved in 4 weeks...it's all starting to become a reality very quickly so time to get ready for the optifast for a few weeks. One question I have is what's the go with drinking coffee during all of this? I've read a few different posts saying its off limits but I'm not sure if that's just the milk for some reason? Any ideas?

    Ready to be sleeved

Hi Ann...unless they have walked a day in your shoes they're unlikely to understand...I'm scheduled for Surgery in May and have decided to keep it to myself. I've tried a few different things but none win any lasting success...this option will be the beginning of something that will change things for the better for everyone that takes this path I'm sure...
  6. Hi bridesmaid, great to know someone else is going through the process at about the same time...happy to compare notes along the way. Good luck with things and I'm sure that by the time your sisters wedding comes about you'll have plenty of heads turning for all the right reasons but lets not forget the reason we're all doing this is for our own well being...
  7. Hi guys, some really great success stories on here....I've had my initial consultation and booked in at Greenslopes in May for surgery. If I'm half as successful as a lot of you have been I'll be very happy.
