Had my first visit with surgeon in Texas for sleeve surgery. He and his staff very informative. Had EKG and went to lab for blood work. I am scheduled for my psych evaluation in April and also my surgeon wants me to see a cardiologist because of family history.

My insurance requires that I see a nutritionist for 3 months before they will approve my surgery. Have not told my husband about the procedure. He lost 50 lbs by walking so I know he's not going to be happy with my decision. Frankly, Im having second thoughts myself. I want to do this but then I don't. Since I'm required to see a nutritionist for 3 months Im going to see if I can loose weight on my own. If in 3 months if I can jump start myself then maybe I won't go through with the surgery. As you can see, I've having mixed emotions.

I am praying that Im making the right decision and if this is something I really want to put myself through IF I can do it on my own. Watching what I eat and using my treadmill for 20 minutes every day which is what my surgeon asked me to do pre-op. Time will tell.
