So I've officially crossed that one-month post-op period; was sleeved on February 28th and have already dropped down almost 10 KG. I've been eating right in terms of the liquid to mushy food diet. Though I have been trying to intake other forms of foods to see what my tolerance is...My body has rejected any form of chocolate of over-sugared sweets as well as fried foods (which I am soooo happy about). Today, I thought that since I am tolerating new foods so well, it would be OK for me to try eating out... BIG MISTAKE. Just I am thanking GOD that whatever I ate, didn't resurface while I was out at the mall. Had some sushi, a little bit of frozen yogurt, a buttermilk drink, a little bit of a grilled rib piece, and then a little tiny bit of a New Zealand burger minus the bun. I've never experienced so much pain before. Like, it is seriously much worse than the post-surgery pain. I would rather go through that pain all over again, than to experience the pains of the stomach rejecting any form of food. I thought I was doing just fine with my post-op(ness) and could shove anything into my mouth. I know that I need to learn to just take things SLOW. And that's hard. Because I was so used to just piling everything into my mouth almost systematically. I guess the point to this post, would be to LISTEN. Listen to whatever your nutritionist or surgeon has instructed you on...and don't'always assume that since at the time of eating - you don't feel anything..be sure that it will most definitely come to you again. Gotta strive to just get used to doing things slowly....

I'm a coffee fan so it's naturally difficult for me to be away from the richness of coffee. What I wanna know is when is it OK to have decaf coffee? I'm currently 12 days post-op so is this a good time for me to be able to have coffee? Maybe just even a 1/4 cup allowance of it.

Is 8 days out too soon to be gulping? :s Was at work today having my HonestAde juice and caught myself gulping it down. Freaked me out....had to remind myself to sip sip it. But I didn't feel any pains afterwards so I don't know if that's a good thing or no... -
Is it normal or possible to feel the hunger pain just a few days out of the hospital? I'm sitting at work and I've got this hungry feeling. Its different from the usual tummy gurgling that's been going on inside of me lately. Tomorrow will be day 5 since leaving the hospital. Is it too soon to digest a thicker Soup? Or like a custard (sugar-free) of course, or like cerelac?

I'm just new at this WLS, had mine 4 days ago and still coping with the whole liquid diet. My question is; when or are green smoothies allowed? Will my new stomach be able to handle this drink 2weeks after? I'm keen to not want to rely on Vitamin tablets or go for vitamin injections...so will I be able to have green smoothies? Has anyone else had them?

Hi all, I've just gotten the sleeve gastrectomy and have been home for 2 fays now. Everything is going fine except for the gasses. Who else has or is suffering from this and what are some things that can help to reduce the gas? I've got to go back to work in one day...so I need something that is going to help me from not being so flatulent.

Hi all, I'm 3days out and stuck on a clear liquid diet which consists of apple juice, Water, and unsalted chicken broth. Its extremely boring...and I wanted to know what are other liquids I could take in? My clear liquid stage lasts for about 6 days more but I'd like to incorporate some other liquids. -
