I'm having surgery Monday. I am really sick of the liquid diet. I am so weak I almost passed out yesterday. I'm drinking the Protein shakes and taking the Vitamins so I don't know what gives. My blood pressure is lower than normal....which is weird because it is usually high. I guess all I had to do to keep it under control was starve Yawl keep me in your prayers and I will do the same for you. Fran

P.S. Misty.....we are starting at the same weight.....230. I don't know how much I will lose on the liquid diet, I've got 11 days to go on the diet. So far I've been afraid to get on the scales Fran

I'm excited, nervous, and just want it to be over with. I can't wait to look like myself again. I'm older than you, but used to be an active person anyway. I can't wait to go hiking, and horseback riding again. LET'S GO !!!!!

Hi Misty, My surgery is 7/14. We can be buddies too. I was originally supposed to have the gastric sleeve but because of an acid reflux problem my doctor changed the surgery to gastric bypass. Let me know how your's goes. I'm super excited. My 3rd day on the liquid diet.

Anyone around the Dayton area? I'm having my sleeve done in two weeks. Dr. Sanborn is my doctor.

Hi, I'm in Pikeville, Tn....or Dayton Mountain:) and am having the surgery the 14th of July....two weeks!!! Very anxious but excited. Hope you girls all do great, wish I were closer.

I don't know what to do. I am 4 months into the process and don't even know if my insurance has been filed. The surgeon I went with is great but I've had to call his office twice to get them to schedule the tests I need to get approved. I do a few tests and never hear anything back. It took a month to get a call back when I called to see if the insurance approved my claim. I finally got a call back today. They wanted more information from my PCP...which I called and got. I don't want to start all over with another surgeon but I can't count on his staff to do what needs to be done. How long did it take for you to get your tests done and scheduled for surgery. I am so stressed. Fran

I was told mine would be $200.

I have COPD and was given a CPAP. Would wake up panicing because I couldn't breathe out. BPAP solved the problem. I use nose pillows even though I am a mouth breather...pressure keeps my mouth closed.

I'm playing the waiting game myself. Still trying to get qualified. GOOD LUCK.
