Just discharged. Apparently a permanent stitch was poking and scratching my insides. Another five holes, but otherwise just happy not to be in pain anymore!

I've had a nightmare. My stabbing pain has developed into unbearable steady pain in the past 2 days. I spent the drive to the hospital screaming as if I was giving birth. Local hospital couldn't so anything (after 7 hours) so sent to my surgeons local hospital. Being admitted soon (I hope) and will see surgeon. He says he expects it is a kinked or twisted bowel. Will update when I know more.

I haven't noticed how I've been sleeping. I'll try to pay attention tonight though I do tend to move around in my sleep a lot!

I've been having the exact same. I'm now 6 weeks post op and had a stall from weeks 3 to 5. I also had pain on my left side. It was usually sudden and like a stabbing pain. Had blood tests, X-ray and ct scan with my diagnosis. Some dats better than others or maybe getting used to it? I've heard done people say gas/constipation or scar tissue. Good luck!

Today is my six week anniversary. Including my liver diet, I have now lost 52 pounds. I didn't shift much at all between weeks 2 and 5, but last week I started to shift again. Had my first gym session today. Was good to have the energy and ability to maintain 30 mins of cardio. Started to drink protein shakes (impact whey) about two weeks ago because I was finding it hard to get the minimum 60g a day. Good for me because low calorie for the huge boost of protein. Still finding it difficult to get all my liquids in. Any tips? -
It was a bit more than a spot. Maybe a teaspoon. Enough to give me a good fright. It only happened the once. I had some dinner and it went down okay. Very nervous to eat. May go back to liquids for a few days.

I'm 3.5 weeks post op. I are some chicken today and I don't think I chewed well enough because u instantly felt awful. I was sick (first time since surgery) and there was a little bright red blood at the end of the sickness. I called my surgeon who said to go to a and e if it gets worse. Has anyone else experienced anything similar? I'm really freaked out!

I had a 2 week liquid diet before purée. Each surgeon is different. You may want to do done prep work before your surgery. I got sick of the store bought soup after a week. I'm 32! Wish I had the surgery at 26. -

More than happy to help at any time! Just to reassure you, I would do it again!! Can't wait to see the results! Purée stage is okay. Much better than liquid. Struggled with some foods, but the real food was welcome -

I didn't take anything for pain when I got home. I was fine! I had effervescent paracetamol (gross) and codeine (furry teeth feeling and can back you up). I just walked. I had a little pain in my side but took laxatives and seems to have worked. I haven't added protein powder to anything. On the liquid, I had slimfast, strained soup, buildup soup made with milk and milk and nesquick. I had some great ladies that I talked to at the support group at my hospital that helped me greatly. Happy to return the favour! -

I'm Cristin. I should specify that I'm in the south east. Essex to be exact! ATM I'm in the purée stage. Mince meat didn't work well for me but chicken is great. I blitz the chicken up with taco seasoning or BBQ sauce with a little cheese. Refried beans. Ricotta. Slimfast on occasion. Milk and nesquick. Eggs. That's about it. This website is a great resource for ideas, but we can't get a lot of the products here. I get about 63g protein a day and between 650 and 750 calories a day. Still struggling with liquids. Trying to up to 2 litres starting today. Any worries/concerns? -

I'm down south as well. I went privately (wasn't willing to wait for the nhs process) and my surgeon was Mr Agrawal. He was really amazing. I just had a dress delivered from asos and thrilled that the size 22 fit perfect! (Down from 26)
