Like I just don’t want to eat anymore. I feel like if I were to eat more I’d be stuffed. My doc said no drinking 30 minutes before, eat slow for 20 minutes and no drinking 30 minutes after. So I set a timer for each. I was satisfied last night with my 1/4 cup soup. I think moist food seems to go down a little better. I used to love boiled eggs in the morning. Maybe it’s just too early for that. But scrambling 1 egg with butter and adding cheese will help. I think. And I’ll have lunch at 12/1ish . -

I had a boiled egg this morning. Could only eat 3/4ths of it. I think tomorrow I’m going to do scrambled, it just wasn’t moist enough. I’ll be having tuna for lunch today. I’m full right now though so that’s good. But after waiting my 30 minutes drinking didn’t seem to happen to easily. Ugh. -

I found low carb-no sugar coconut chocolate bars. But I’m going to hold onto that one 😂 I’m a total foodie and if I had the energy omg this would be better. Tomorrow the church is bringing us food so I stashed a small amount of tonight’s dinner for tomorrow. On saturday when I cook again I’m making a whole 30 chicken tortilla(less) soup 🍲 that tastes amazing with avocado slices on top. 😍😍😍 -

I don’t know. My surgeon said a lot here won’t take patients who went to Mexico. Contact your surgeon and ask what his other patients do. -

The pic is me laying in my husbands arms like 10 years ago lol actually I’m going to update that now so it might be one of me and hub In winter -

I went to bed and laid down. I was so cold. Like it’s winter.... my husband came and snuggled with me to help me warm up after all that. I made dinner in my instant pot prior so it was just sitting there warm. Feeling a little better now that I’m eating. -

So first post op food is low carb zuppa tuscada soup. I didn’t have a lot of energy so i skipped on the garlic and onion steps, I also didn’t add salt or pepper which I normally do. For later on I have a recipe for Keto garlic bread (it’s made of cheese dough so no carbs and a decent amount of protien. But since I’m just starting out I measured 1 cup. Instead of potatos I used cauliflower and I don’t taste a difference. Also I used coconut milk instead of regular milk. Thinking of swapping to organic hormone/antibiotic free milk because conventional has always made me sick. -

Waking up from Surgery. Any Tips?
Megan Sadler replied to ellie123's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ask for all the warm blankets to hold against your belly. I tried not to bother my nurses. I know how busy they were but then one realized that my IV moved into my muscle and not my vain so that was a problem. . . Remind them that they’re awesome—they are and it’ll be a better stay for you as well. As soon as you feel you can, get up and walk as much as you can to deal with the gas pain. -

I’m also 2 weeks out today—had rny on 8/21! I’m down 18 lbs post op 28 lbs total. I’m slowly noticing changes. But when I pass the bakery in the grocery store with fresh pastries and there’s a Cinnabon I’m wanting. And Arby’s has the best potato cakes. But I know that’s hunger brain and not my body actually asking for food. That’s the mental part of this. I’m trying to focus on the positive but it’s hard. -
2 weeks out today!! Total weight loss including pre op is 28 lbs. I have been wearing jammies and shorts and such. Today I braved my skinny jeans and a I pulled out a shirt I haven’t worn in 3 years because it’s been too small for me. The skinny jeans which were a little tight are a little looser and the legs have a little room in them!! My shirt fits!!!!!!!!!! 😍😭😍😭😍😭😍
