Her name is Lilli. And also very spoiled. Just like we want her. We also want more than one, so we are going to breed her in another year or two. Back to the good stuff. I'm sooooooooooooooo Happy. I have lost almost all of my weight but trying to do it somewhat slow. I have a bad liver and crohn's disease. so far so good. The liver has improved and the crohn's is at bay. I love the feeling of my body now. the movement, the energy, the way cloths look. I'm a size 12 and love it. The one thing I will never get use to is not having liquid with meals. But it works so I won't fight it.. The wait staff has a harder time than I do. They keep asking and asking....so I let them place water before me and it helps them LOL. Well enjoy are new way of life the journey has just began...

Morning, I agree totally. I want to use it as a tool and if you can't feel it that can not happen. But it is a bummer. I have got really really stuck three times. It was so scary. All three times it was pork. So needless to say pork is a game stopper. Keep up the good work. This really works.

I some times have had the first bite or in my case third bite. The doc says what I'm eating is to much bulk. More chewing and smaller bites. Yea I tried that. Not... I don't think it is because you are to tight. It would happen all the time. i can make it happen with meat, boiled eggs, bread. You have to learn and adjust. you want restriction. I can not I mean not eat raw apples. No mater what I will get stuck. Watermelon sometimes will also. It is a learning tool. Use it.

:biggrin: Morning Sounds like the band is working. I have found that if I really get stuck for me if I force a cough everything will come up. Then I feel better. It takes time and a lot of slime to learn what works for you. I know if I'm really hungry I try to stay liquid. I tend to take to big of bites and don't chew well enough when starving and tend to get stuck. I know it is painful and really scary but it will pass. Don't drink anything or you will hurt more. It doesn't help. The slim is so gross.

Hey I use to think I wasn't loosing fast enough. But.... I'm so happy with any loose at all. this is a life long thing. It is not the end I'm looking forward to because there is no end. It is the journey. This is a new way of doing food. Use your band as a tool. It is up to us. I love the journey. I feel in control. You need to feel in control and not fear the band girl.....You can do it.

Hi there. I'm coming up on one year in Aug. It sounds like you are to tight. I have to have a little taken out. Now when I start to get that feeling I stop. I also go through periods where I loose really slow. For me it is me. I eat wrong and I know it. Think about it. It is a tool. We have to learn how to use it. It is not a no brainer. It needs us to read the band and know when to stop and not slime. If you have warm broth or something it will relax the band. Good luck

Hi I too have been gone... I missed all of you. You know how if something will happen it will. I have had a really great time with my band.... I love it....It really works. I saw the doc yesterday and he said see you in three months... I wanted to hear that so much. I think this will really be a good thing. The really hard part was others. Have you noticed how people change. Oh well. Life is good. Good luck with your port. Bummer.

Hi haven't been here in a while..... It is so funny you have so many questions in the beginning then you are off and running all by yourself.... I have really enjoyed this.... I found out for me this is good. I don't miss bread, soft drinks, and all the other things I have removed from my diet.... I love it and love the cloths...... I could loose faster but I would have to say good-by to to many outfits... I'm loving this.... I hope u too are having fun.....I still have about 40 pounds to go and I can wait.... I like the journey..:tt2:

hi well u have a lot going on. We call where u r now is no where hell. It took me around 9months to get all of it done. But let me tell u once u get your date(and u will) it goes fast. It is so worth it. Things will change and it does work. I needed this group of supporters so much.. They made the whole procedure easy. U ask and someone will answer and help. We all go through almost the same things. Once u get your date u will get scared, to question yourself the dr. the whole thing... that to is what we do... hang in there and don't worry to much about the exercise, later u will laugh at it.... I couldn't walk without a cane before and now I walk everywhere....I want to. hang in there...u are worth it...

I fell I want to share... I cut my own toe nails today for the first time in over ten years..... That was one of my goals.. To be able to do my toes... It fells so good... I started to cry and almost cut my foot.. This is so cool... I love it!!!!!

I didn't have to take my cloths off. I laid on the table and he lifted my top to look at my tummy.... Nothing at all....even for the fills all I do is stand there and lift my top....

Hi Yes I was banded by Dr. Vierra... He is really a good doctor, so glad I was referred to him... I'm fighting a cold right now so not to talkative. How is the band working for you? Have you gone to any of the support meetings at the hospital in Monterey? Hope to hear from you..

Been there done that and thank goodness it goes away.....along with the other symptoms.. It only gets better....

Go for it... You are ready. That is the most important part.. I'm so happy with my band I would have done anywhere. If the doctor is that concerned about the patient it must be good... This is so worth it.. My money says do it girl... Start your new life.

Congradulation, You have inspired me.. I also live in the hills. The walk up my driveway use to make me so tired.. Now no problem. I too will venture out in this hill world and climb a litte hill too... Good for you Thanks for posting...

Just before I was to be banded in all the tests they said I was severely anemic 28... They wanted to put me in the hospital.. I freaked long story.. many tests.. doctors.. found ulcers in my small intestine. Told me I have Crohns disease Up until just recently they wouldn't band Crohns patients... I was the first for my doc... Had the band done Aug. 1st 2008 and it is all good... 30 pounds lost.....don't worry I know how you feel. I also thought I would die if I couldn't have the band... Have faith.. Show a positive side to the doc... He told me he would have not banded me if I had not be en so positive...Good Luck we are here for you...:biggrin:

I really blew it.... Last night we went out with another couple to a nice restaurant. We have been there a lot, but not sense my surgery. They changed their dinning style on Friday nights to a Seafood Buffet. It was $40.00 a person.... I just felt sick. I knew I couldn't eat more than a very small portion. So I made the decision to not eat. I did not handle it right... I guess, I shouldn't care about the money. But it is hard to pay $40.00 for a cup of soup.. What would you do?
