I live in KY and began to consider the gastric sleeve surgery back in the fall. In November, I had my first appointment with the Bariatrics office. I have finally gotten all of the necessary paperwork and physician clearances. My weight loss surgery is scheduled for April 18. I'm terrified! I'm so afraid I will fail post surgery just like with other weight loss plans. I looked online for bariatric support groups and found Bariatric Pal. When I found people having surgery by the same surgeon I will, I decided to join. I hope to find others that struggle with some of the same issues I have, people in the same place on our journey, and people who have succeeded with the surgery.
