  1. Thank you for the responses guys I try to eat oatmeal for Breakfast (also makes me nauseous but I can eat 1/4-1/3 cup), 1/4 pb sandwich for lunch, fruits/veggies w/ hummus as Snacks, and then salad for dinner. This is on days when I deal with the sick hungry feelings. On the bad days, I eat goldfish or chips to get rid of the hungry feeling *keeping it real*. I'm going to figure out a way to print out that veg Protein chart. And then get back to basics with protein first. Duh.
  2. Hello y'all! It's been a few months since I've posted here, but I'm now 9 months post op and down 85 lbs. Feeling excited about this, but also feeling it could be more if only I stayed full!!!! I'll eat a meal, and then w/in an hour be actually hungry again. Like faint, sweaty, really hungry. It's frustrating honestly. I'd love some advice from those of you who have been there. I can still eat very very little meal food, but of course can pack down the sliders like it's no one's business. If I eat more than a single bite of meat, I vomit, so I stick to salads most often. I just want to be able to use my sleeve better than I am - I want to be able to eat 3 meals a day and feel good about that without being hungry all the time. Open to any and all suggestions! THANK YOU!
  3. I agree with moonlitestarbrite. I didn't really have other coping skills post op ( even though I'm in daily medication and in therapy) and my anxiety post op has been difficult. I unfortunately find I am still using food to self soothe, just in obviously teeny amounts I didn't have any anxiety attacks post op, but suffered from serious self doubt (still do) and daily stress about eating and exercise choices. I wish you the best and hope you can find other coping mechanisms pre surgery to help you manage post op life better!! Good luck

I'm in Sacramento and would also like to find a support group! Not a part of kaiser but would love human interaction in person.

    Before and During Pics!

Thanks everyone! I totally agree real picture documentation is a good idea It's just so nice to see a difference even when I'm not feeling it so much on a day to day basis.
  9. Hey everyone I just wanted to add a few photos - I'm exactly 2.5 months post surgery and it's really easy for me to feel like I haven't made much progress ... my sister has helped me document my progress and I wanted to share with you pictures we took yesterday. Big difference!

    Woman only please

I had my period day of surgery and it was over that day. Since then, I've just had spotty periods, but I'm on BC, so I assume that has a lot to do with their regularity.

    Gym workout! Help!

I agree - what is most important is to find activity you enjoy doing, not for the purpose of burning the most calories, but that make your body feel amazing Right now, I walk on the treadmill at an incline with plans to start running again as soon as it's physically comfortable. I know I should lift weights, but I haven't found the desire yet, so I'm okay with waiting Good luck breaking through your stall!
