June 18th sleeve....soooo hungry
shahada replied to mnkj719416's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I have read on here that sometimes hunger is really acid pain disguised. Other posters have mentioned an OTC acid reducer - maybe that's an option? -

I have no advice, but I understand that feeling. I had a gaining weight freak out (last week at about 6 weeks out), so I totally understand. -

? what is your "go to" now after surgery when feeling nauseous?
shahada replied to skinnygirlwithin's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I suck on a sugar free mint candy or chew some gum if I'm not having any gag reflex going on. Mint is what works best for me. -
Went in for Gastric Bypass, ended up with Gastric Sleeve! My Story...so far...

I'm 6 weeks post op and I gained a pound this week I eat between 700-800 calories a day of all protein based foods. My carbs are below 40gms a day. I do my best to get my water in (as in, I sip non stop all day long) but usually get about 50oz in. I walk 3-4 times a week for 45 min at an incline. I'm frustrated I'm open to advice!

Thank you for your responses everyone. I hate obsessing about this crap. I'll keep on trucking!

I've been at a stand still for a few days and I'm so antsy to lose again. I understand. Congrats at the weight loss thus far!

How much Pureed Food could you eat at first?
shahada replied to Butterflyhigh's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
Full feels literally like you are to capacity. That if you took one more bite you know it'd come back up. You'll know what full feels like once you try it As for how much you can eat, for me it varies every time I sit down to eat. Sometimes I could do a few tablespoons and sometimes it was two small bites. You figure it out. I'm only a month out and I always end up putting some of what I serve myself in the garbage. -
9 weeks - food aversion-nausea -HELP
shahada replied to 4.7.2014's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Yes, there are several different anti-nausea medications that can be prescribed. I got several after surgery because the nausea was so intense. I'm not yet 9 weeks out so cannot give you advice there, but if it were me, I'd call my doctor for sure. Good luck - hope you start feeling better soon! -
Totally can see it in your face! YAY!!!

I sure hope so because I do regularly!
