I had my surgery on Thurs and was back at work on Tues...With no real problems except feeling a little light headed due to lack of food! Good luck!
-
Yes...I found my tylenol at Walmart too...and the chewable Gas X is what I used
-
I took GasX with everything I ate...it's really helpful...after about 3 days everything sorted itself out..

I don't think the bra will help you with them going south...it will just make them look better while they are contained. I have to admit I really miss my girls...I had the best boobs when I was bf my daughter. They were full and perky...Now.... not so much... cry... cry... and now one is bigger than the other! What's with that! I swear once I'm sure I'm not having anymore children I'll make them look good! Thank God for surgery.

Hello! Welcome to the board If you have any questions feel free to ask. Everyone is really sweet here
-
I'm sorry you had such a bad time...I bet that was really scarry...thank you for sharing...I'll put that on my "Do not Do" list. I'm glad you feel better
-
I felt like crap for the first 2 to 3 days...I pretty much just took the medication my Dr gave me and slept. So don't worry. He probably cut through more muscle around the port because mine hurt too. But each day it got better and by day 3 it was just sore (like I had exercised). I'm sure you will feel better in a couple of days But if you see swelling or it smells bad...definitely go right into the emergency room!

Apple juice will make you have poos if you drink too much...So depending on the problem... you may want to look at how much you are drinking
-
Yes...very normal, but very hard to follow. My dr wants me on liquids for 3wks post op...but I'm sneeking in some semi-soft foods, like cottage cheese and yogurt. I'm 1 1/2 weeks after post-op. Good luck!

Don't be so hard on yourself. From what I have heard, very few people feel any restriction with there first fill. I'm sure you will feel it with the next fill.

I really liked The Zone drinks! They are very good and have the balance of carbs/fats/and proteins.

Thursday I went in at 7am ( so I could sit around for a couple of hours with my hiney sticking out ) by 10am I was banded. I didn't throw-up or anything! I'm very excited. I was sore for a couple of days and took my pain med but now I'm solo and I'm doing very well, I'm not really having any pain. I am feeling a little bit dizzy and not really with it. What's with that? And it's really odd to feel full, but still feel hungry... I'm back at work today, so wish me well....They have free hamburgers and hot dogs in the break room....Too bad I didn't bring the blender Ohh...I forgot to tell you, they let me go home the same day...I was sleeping in my own bed by 10pm that night

I'm in for it...Hey did you know one helping of string cheese has 8g of protein and 1/2 cup of cottage cheese has 13g of protein. That's not a bad way to kill two birds with one stone
-
I'm a sonic fan...perhaps you could get a grilled chicken sandwich, they do have them at most places...good luck...I also agree with Zoe about the frozen dinners. They are great!
-
I'm the same way...I have to be firm, just so I don't weigh myself more than once a day
-
I haven't been very good with my protein for the last couple of days...I guess it's time to start charting again
-
Or other pain medications... I have to admit I probably take tylenol at least once a day due to headaches. Is that something to be concerned about? Will it hurt my band?
-
Why don't they stitch it into place the first time? Or do they and your's has just broke?
-
Here I go. Tomorrow will be the last time I'm on the board without a band. My surgery is scheduled for the 26th...Thursday...But I don't have a computer at home and Tuesday will be my last day at work for a week. So wish me luck...and if you have any great advice feel free to include that too. Thanks you guys!

I feel for you so I am in the same boat. I love diet Coke. It took me 2 days of cold turkey and to tell you the truth it's as hard as giving up food, to give up your cafeine. Just say that you will not buy anymore. Once it's all gone...it's gone...Be strong...

How NOT to let your relatives sabotage your success???
aileena replied to NancySmiles's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I've struggled my whole life with weightloss. Everyone (except my mom, and she's as supportive as a pesimistic person can be) has been really supportive. You know, it's not that we took the easy way out, the easy way would be to do nothing, we still suffer with our own personal eating issues and have to work around those. It's that we decided that enough was enough and we were going to take charge of something that we couldn't do by ourselves. It's a final decision to loss weight and have something there to keep us from eating a whole pizza...even when we really want to. I feel so thankful I'm ready... -
Good luck! I'll join you on Thurs

I'm on day 5 of my 10 day pre-op diet....I'm suppose to be doing liquids...I've been really good so far...but yesterday I did take a can of heathy choice Soup and blend it in the blender...It tasted really good (considering I've only been drinking Protein shakes before this)... Would this be acceptable after banding? I was looking at my diet plan and on the 1st week it says I can eat baby food....So does this count? It was high in protein and low in Calories..But I wasn't sure how well my stomach would take it after the banding.
