Most of the medicines you are to stay away from cause irratation to the lining of your stomach... leading to errosion. You may want to talk to your band Dr, to see what s/he thinks.
-
Good Job! This is a really good month! I know you will do great!
-
I hope you're feeling better. Don't be discouraged our band is not about immediate change, but a slow and gradual one, that is healthier on our bodies. 15lbs is 15lbs! Go to the grocery store and see how much 15lbs of potatoes are. It will make you feel really good.
-
Try to sleep as much as you can. Feel better soon!

BCBS allowed for WW to be considered a supervised diet. Also my Dr didn't charge for weigh ins. I only had to go to the nutritionist once. Good luck! I'm sure it will fly by

What foods do you find difficult to eat?

I didn't mean to scare anyone... I just haven't had my first fill yet, and I wanted to know what to expect. -
There are alot of really good vegetarian sites. I was a vegetarian for 5 years. Can you eat eggs? If you can, don't worry eggs, cheese and beans you can get all the protein you need.

I had cigna and they denined me... it really sucked! I went though alot of testing but I was too healthy...just fat...I'm glad I now have bcbs...they arpproved me really quickly.

I don't have a fill yet, but I do have some restriction. Yesterday my daughter had a sleepover and we ordered pizza...I ate 2 pieces and felt really full....before I would have eaten the whole pizza...I already love my band...I can't wait for a fill -
Yes...but be careful. I could feel it go down and then it stuck! It was not pleasant. The Jello was extrafirm...so go slow
-
As I'm reading this I just sucked down a sonic shake...I have no control either! It was really good! That's it! Back onto the bandwagon...I'm hoping this is easier after I get a fill... But it's true... I would have eaten dinner and then ate the ice cream before.
-
That was so sad...I almost cried! It really makes me thankful that I chose to have a band.
-
Poor girl, your swollen and your still recovering, so don't worry. You will feel better next week. Just keep sipping warm liquids...you maynot be ready for protien and Jello...just try warm broth...once you quit feeling sick, then go to the Protein shakes. Feel better soon,

Ok...I'm feeling sorry for myself...I want a fill. I went to my Dr today and he said I had to wait 3 more weeks until I can have one. I want one now! I know...I should be patient...but after the surgery I felt such wonderful restriction, but that is all gone now and I can stuff my face. I'm ready to feel the restriction again. I want to lose weight. I thought waiting for the surgery is bad...but this is almost worse.

oh...something else to look forward too...I don't remember that in the brochure.

I was an overweight child...I went on my first diet when I was 5 yrs old... I think this led me to more eating problems later on. My daughter is four and is not overweight but I've always been very conscience of the food I offer her. There is no juck food in my house. Her deserts are applesauce and Jello. I don't have juice or soda in the house. Any junk food is a special treat we get when we are out and about. I also will say that she's had enough, when she has gone overboard with eating. I just say...I think you've had enough, why don't you stop, and you can have some more later...I then offer her some attention and diversion..children eat when they are board too...Your stepdaughter isn't very old, so I'm sure she will respond...but whatever you do, never mention that she is overweight to her...just sign her up in some summer activies that will get her out of the house and moving...like swimming or gymnastics...really encourage and praise her for the physical activies. I really think that is the key. I hope this helps, Aileena P.S. one of the main reasons I wanted the lap band was that I wanted to get control of my eating, before my child started to follow in my footsteps.

Just beautiful (not that you weren't perfectly lovely before)...I hope this makes you feel wonderful!

My mother followed my into the surgery room saying, "I have such a bad feeling about this!" and when I would try to educate her about the procedure she would say, "I just don't want to know...it just makes me more worried." My mother is a pesimist by nature...so I'm suprised she wasn't more negative.
