  1. I got my lap band in Aug. 2007. The first year I lost 40 lbs. easily. I am now up 13 lbs. and I don't know if I can do anything about it. I am very depressed, embarrassed and ashamed. I don't even want to go to my lap band doctor because I feel like such a failure. I also do not need a fill. I can eat ice cream and other desserts without any problem, however, I throw up chicken, eggs, beef and anything healthy. I am an emotional eater and I don't know how to stop. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.
  2. I get the terrible sticking pain when I eat dinner. Am I eating too much or too quickly? Or both?
  3. Hi Everyone, I'm Marsha. I was banded on August 22, 2007. I've had 4 fills already (2cc, .5cc, 1cc and 2.5cc) and I don't feel much restriction. If I eat too fast the food does get stuck and that's painful. However, I'm relying on self control and it's not working too well. I do o.k. during the day but at night I can't stop eating. Also the doctor said my band was an 8. I'm not sure what that means. I've lost 23 lbs. so far but 10 of those pounds were lost the first week, so 13 lbs. in 4 months doesn't seem like a lot. I'm getting discouraged. What does it feel like to have enough fill?
  4. Hi I'm Marsha. I was banded last Wednesday and lost 10 lbs so far. I'm not feeling great. I keep getting periods of weakness. The nutritionist says I need to increase the protein. I hate the shakes, I've mixed them with milk, yogurt and fruit, but I can't take them. Any suggestions?
  5. Is it normal to have a constant pain on the left side?
