Could be a small bout of depression too. -
3 month progress pic!

Wow. Good job. You look great. -
I don't know how to put the link here. But this is a good analogy about the first 4 weeks. By HumanMerelyBeing. That's about when you feel somewhat normal again.

3 month progress pic!
alwaysonadiet replied to nesa83's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
How much weight total have you lost in 3 months? -
Maybe because of a hiatal hernia repair?. You have to stay longer on liquids if you had that. I was always hungry too during that stage I was contemplating appetite suppressants it was so bad. I think it was the acid. I told my doc and I got a script for omeprazole and that helped a lot. I'm just going on 6 weeks now and the hunger has gone away and the stall has also gone. So hang in there.

Inner Ear Pressure Problems Post-OP?
alwaysonadiet replied to LumpySpacePrincess's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I just noticed this. 5 weeks out, so I'm eating more than before and when I get full my ears pop like on an airplane. It drives me crazy I can't hear for a short time until the fullness goes away. I finally realized what was going on. I hic up and sneeze too sometimes. -
4 weeks out, not too many complaints
alwaysonadiet replied to CubsWinCubsWin's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Getting to the 4th week sure does make a huge difference. Before now I thought I was going to die and wondered what I did to myself. I wasn't one of the lucky ones that had it easy with no discomforts. I ended up in the ER at day 4. Anyway I am feeling great now it really does just take time. I have only lost 20 lbs in 4 weeks, but I only have 50-60 lbs to lose anyway so I'm happy with that. I don't eat much mostly cottage cheese and yogurt. Haven't tried meat yet, but I have the tuna cans ready. -
Popsicles and jello that's what I lives on

My 21 yr old is considering sleeve
alwaysonadiet replied to NMJG's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
The younger the better!!! I think my surgeon did it on his 16 year old niece. It's safe and effective. Don't wait until you are 100 pounds overweight or more no matter how old you are. Anything over 30 bmi can qualify. -
Only asking cuz I'm so hungry I want to eat that stuff too and seems I still have that heavy duty hormone grehlin
-
Shouldn't have most of the hungry hormone come out with the sleeve surgery? So you don't feel like eating all that crap?

Medicine for head hunger?
alwaysonadiet replied to alwaysonadiet's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thank you so much for the tip. I really do think I'm really hungry. I don't think it's head hunger because I can really eat!! I'm 4 weeks out so I can eat soft solids. I haven't eaten meat yet, maybe I should have chicken salad or tuna salad. I do eat a lot of cottage cheese & yogurt. Right now I'm so hungry I could go for a pizza. Only I know it won't go down my sleeve. -
Crazy question. Since head hunger is so real. Is there medicine? An appetite suppressant to help that can be taken? Just wondering if anyone else has thought of this?
-
I thought the hormone that makes you hungry was also taken out with most of your stomach? I'm not too sure about it being this fake head hunger it's real I go eat a cookie hunger
-
I'm always hungry!! From day 4 I've been hungry. I'm 4 weeks and I find I am always eating. Small amounts of course but still eating 5-6-7 times a day. I swear I need an appetite suppressant. I'm going to ask the dr. I just don't think I should be this hungry.

Medicine for head hunger?

Shouldn't be so hungry. I think the protein is making me more hungry. -
Medicine for head hunger?
alwaysonadiet replied to alwaysonadiet's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think I eat too much than I should. I don't eat enough to make me sick or make anything in comfortable and hurt, but after a protein shake, then and hour later some yogurt or cottage cheese then like 1/2 hour later I want a bite of my sons I've cream then I decide I want a small oatmeal with brown sugar and butter. And I just think that's too much. I counted the calories and it's maybe 7-800 but I do t think I should be this hungry. -
Need information about meds post-op
alwaysonadiet replied to blue topaz's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You have to crush them and take them that way. Or get a liquid form. I take 7 pills a day only 2 came in liquid form. The other had to crush and put in apple juice. Beware it's gross. I actually just stopped for a week or two. -
Anyone not tell family?
alwaysonadiet replied to MIMamaof2's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I told my mom because I needed her help with my kids while I went to Mexico. She lives 3000 miles away but flew in to help me. I didn't tell anyone else and didn't want to. Well my mother has made the decision for me to tell the fricking world. I'm so mad and could just strangle her big I guess I should have known as she has the biggest mouth ever the woman cannot keep anything to herself even if you tell her to. So now it seems even my co workers know and how that happened is beyond me. Tales grow taller on down the line. So my advice is if you don't want anybody to know don't tell anybody. Or just those who you can really trust. -
Get some liquid Zofran it is great for the nausea that the pain meds cause. I took those two together and it made a difference. I had to go to my PCP and get a script when I got home about 4 days out. That's how I made it through.

What are the Requirements to Have WLS in Mexico
alwaysonadiet replied to HeatherSchwartz's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I went to Dr Aceves in February also, he and his staff are stellar. I am very happy with my choice. I still talk to them today they are very helpful. The hospital was very clean and the nurses were very caring. I would highly recommend Dr. Aceves and Dr. Campos, they are a great team. They are in Mexicalli and you do need a passport or an application of having applied for a passport. I don't think that's the case for Tijuana, entering into San Diego is a bit more laxed on the rules. Entering into Calexico you will need a passport. We even had our rental car searched. But I don't think that's a common thing. We didn't choose to have the driver take us we rented a car and did some sight seeing on our own. It is safe regardless of some beliefs. -
Any February 2014 Sleevers?
alwaysonadiet replied to honeyg317's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Yeah these stalls really suck. I don't think it's any one thing that you do to make it happen. Don't be to hard on yourself for not drinking enough water/protein or walking long enough or drinking a high caloric drink whatever it may be. I think everybody's body just goes through this whether it be starvation mode or just the fact we are now at the eating food stage. Everything I've read and everybody I talked to says to hang in there. So that is what we have to do. Sure we need to get that work out/walk in and we have to get our protein in, but if we mess up a day or two I think it will be ok. I myself have been at a stall for over a week. I finally hid the scale and seem to be more at ease. -

H-Pylori and surgery in Mexico?
alwaysonadiet replied to O-Town Body Rock's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I also was told by the dr.s in Mexico that I had H Pylori after the surgery from the pathology report and also was told I can't do anything until 3 months out. I'm almost 4 weeks out now. I have absolutely no symptoms I have never in my life (45 years) have had an ulcer or acid reflux or any kind of stomach problems. I was quite shocked to hear I had this bacteria. But I was assured it was common and quite easily treatable.
