  1. I'm 3 months post op and have been having bad muscle spasms ( or just pain) across the middle of my back. I have it even when I don't eat so it's not from eating too fast or over eating. It comes and goes but nothing seems to relieve it. I've dropped about 80 lbs in 3 months and was just wondering if anybody else had this type of problem. I keep myself hydrated so I don't think that is the problem either. It is really annoying because other than that, I feel pretty good. Any body have any other ideas?

    one week post op depression

I am two months out and had a similar experience as you. Your body is changing and feeling depressed can happen. I talked to my psychologist and upped some of my anti depression meds. Also, drinking all of your Protein and Water is extremely important. During this time your mind can play tricks on you and make you doubt your choice. Soon enough your body will start to heal. My Dr. told me it takes 5 to 6 months for the stomach to completely heal. Keep your spirits up and try not to dwell on your surgery or what you are going through. Find some distractions that will help occupy you mind during this time. It will pass and you will feel better soon. Keep the faith. I know it's hard to do but I know you can do it.
  4. I have heard a lot of people use the refrain "it gets better". My question is, does it get good? Also, is dehydration an ongoing battle after you reach your weight goal?

    Dry Mouth

Thanks, I'm a teacher and in front of the class all day long. I'm glad to hear it gets better at some point.

    Dry Mouth

Since my surgery, I have an extremely dry mouth. Is this a common side effect? I'm drinking all day long but my throat and mouth get dry, expecially when I wake up in the AM.
  7. Had my surgery January 17th. I've had a hard time adjusting emotionally, second guessing my decision and realizing it's over and done. No going back, time to move on. So, I've cleared a path to a more healthy and hopefully more fulfilling life.

    Emotions

I am just 4 weeks out and a emotional mess. Crying and suffering from fear and anxiety that won't be able to cope. Fear that I won't be able to ever eat again without experiencing nausea. I too am frustrated. I keep praying but still suffer from "stinking thinking". Has anyone else gone through this? Please help.
