CassJones replied to mi75's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I'm so frustrated. I'm 3 weeks post op today and last weekend I gained almost 1.5 lbs and this week only went down 2.5 lbs. how is this happening so fast? I feel discouraged like this was a waste right now. I'm trying to stay positive but it's really hard at this point. I don't know what to do... -
Looking for a home scale that I can use to track weightloss journey
CassJones replied to Yasman's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I just bought the Withings scales from the Apple store and it's awesome! Also on the higher price side, $150 cad but it's tracks up to 8 people and does weight, bmi, fat %, heart rate and air quality. It also connects to your phone to track steps and more! I highly recommend it! -

Ok I got home today. The surgery went great but took 3.5 hours cause apparently I had lots of muscle, weird! I'm still in some pain in my stomach but I'm walking pretty well. Trying to figure out the eating part is next! -

Any july surgery dates?
CassJones replied to princesstigga517's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am having Gastric Bypass Surgery in Toronto on July 7! 2 weeks to go and I can't wait! I have been on Optifast liquid diet for a week and it has been tough but I'm trying to concentrate on the big picture. Female, 6'3", 25 years old HW: 365 GW: 225 more if it is healthy for me -
Did anyone ever cheat on the Optifast? I'm finding 3 weeks of no food really tough. I'm only on day 6 and am just craving to eat real food.

The psych appointment went really well. It's a waiting game for a bit now though. Apparently everyone you meet with gets together once a week to discuss each case and decide if any thing else is needed before you see the surgeon. Hopefully all is good and they will book the surgeon appointment soon! -
Yes I did! Most of my appointments weren't supposed to be till may and June!
-
I'm in Toronto and have heard wait times are around 9 months at the moment here. What I would say is if you are able to make the time to take appointments whenever, don't settle for the first date they give you. I have my last appointment before I see the surgeon tomorrow and only went to the first appointment at the beginning of the month! I call and see if there are any cancellations all the time until I get them moved up! So hopefully I will have the surely done in the next couple months if I can!

I'm also from Toronto. I have my final appointment tomorrow before I see the surgeon. I am so nervous and really would love to get the surgery done and over with. Is anyone else doing the appointments and surgery through Toronto Western Hospital? -
January Surgeries

How long did the process take you in Toronto from referral to surgery date? I was referred almost a month ago and I am so nervous and just want to have it done. I am sick of being like this!
