Me too. I was told to not lose any either. But does that show lack of commitment? -

I too am in Vegas. My Dr is Lyass -
Huh. I did a little reading and there were all kinds of benefits listed with it. I wonder if there are different forms that are healthier than others or if it's all in how it is used

That's awesome! Great job! -
This is something I hope happens to me. It's so hot in Henderson NV. (Las Vegas) I hate summers here.
-
Yay for you! Good luck! I will probably be in June/July if all goes well. I'm in Las Vegas

I am 45. 207lbs and 5'4". I have the yucky bat winged arms and an apron tummy a bit. I'm hoping it does not look horrible at the end of my journey. I am doing ab crunches and core work outs and lift weights for my arms now while waiting for surgery. I am 2 months into this 6 month wait. My Bmi is borderline so I cannot drop weight or the insurance will not cover the surgery. Still have the sleep study to do and blood work. I am so sad that I did this to my body but excited when I see the success stories after surgery. You all are amazing. Me (left )at my daughter's wedding

jdillon replied to msjoy83's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have to call to schedule my sleep study so I will ask then if at any time during the 6 months I drop below 40 Bmi am I In danger of not being approved. Not major weight loss. Just tend to fluctuate 5-7lbs -
Cheating the consultation scale...
jdillon replied to msjoy83's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Is the insurance Co basing approval on the first initial weigh in? I am at a borderline 40 Bmi so if I lose in the 6 months I am not approved in the end? -

jdillon replied to mom2five's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
You are truly inspiring. Wow. I am barely beginning this journey. Haven't even gotten through my 6 months and requirements from the insurance company. I daydream about the day I can post my success story like yours. I cannot wait. I hope I do half as well as you. Thank you for sharing. -
How soon after surgery can I swim? We live in the Las Vegas area and I will be having a summer surgery. If you have never been to Vegas in the summer, Let me tell you, it gets HOT! Swimming will be a big part of my exercise program in the beginning. Walking will have to be on the treadmill in the air conditioning. Lol

Well I guess the gym and the mall for walking until then.

Yay that worked Thanks!

That's great! Here it gets to about 110 degrees and miserable in the summer. But swimming is nice. I wonder how soon after surgery we can swim. I can walk in the mall maybe lol

OK so I am at 207lbs. Bmi is 40. I keep being told that I am on the line of what is required to be approved for wls. But I keep reading how others were 230lbs to begin and then did the pre op diet and the day of surgery weighed 193lbs . So how is or that the insurance company still approved surgery? So confused
