I will. Thank you. I have gallbladder surgery on the 11th so I should be off from work still. I work as a front end manager at Smiths so my schedule is all over the place. Crazy. Lol. I will see you there.

I am having the sleeve surgery in July and gallbladder out in April. I know at least 4 people who have had the surgery at my work. I work for Smiths grocery store. They all say eat what I want because soon I won't be able to. I've decided that I want to make commitments each week. Baby steps leading up to surgery. For instance week one was this week. I gave up coffee. Next week is white breads. Chewing bites better and spacing them out one min apart. Not drinking with my meals. Etc. Just before my surgery I'd like to try drinking protein drinks for meals and broth the day or two before. I've had all the foods I love and that's how I got in to this weight problem. I hope by doing this it prepares me a bit better for when I have no choice. Gym once or twice a week is another commitment . Anyone else out there have any suggestions?

I know what you mean. We're going to have good days and bad days but if the good are at 90% that leaves only 10% for messing up. I'm striving for the 90 because being perfect all of the time feels like too much pressure. I'll do my best.

I haven't had surgery yet. But I definitely will attend after. Does anyone pre op go?

I've read on here so many people losing like 45 or more lbs by 3 months in. If I can be successful like that and my body cooperates with that rate of loss then I am buying this. I will be just under or about 160lbs if that happens. Half way to my goal. That would be a reason to buy a gift for myself.

Thank you. I still haven't had coffee and boy did I want and need it the other day. But last night I got depressed and ate a lot of ice cream. So much I got sick. The good news is that i don't want ice cream. I feel so bad and out of control last night. Today is a new day. No sweets. No bad foods. Time to re focus.

Thank you for that post. There's hope that there will be minimal pain. I keep reading how people are in pain for days. Hope mine goes as well as yours. Walking sounds like the ticket. -

How are you feeling now? -
I'm 5ft4 and 210 and fluctuate 5lbs up and down. My bmi was at 40. Borderline. I feel horrible every day. Headaches back pain feet hurt swelling and socks become tight. Miserable. I want to cry. I pop excedrin like candy. The caffeine keeps me going while killing the pain so i can function for the day. Yeah why not wait till I reach 300lbs and really be messed up. I have successfully lost weight in the past and felt amazing. But now no matter what I do it won't come off past 15lbs or so and I get frustrated and give up. Add going through pre menopause and gallstones and gallbladder disease and a hiatal hernia to the list and you've got my life every day. I just want to cry. I wish surgery was tomorrow. Damn insurance. I feel so ready. I need this so bad. I want to feel like normal again. July is so far off. Having my gallbladder removed in April so maybe that'll help. I hope so. I feel so bad when I see overweight people because I know what struggles we go through to just get through a day. Good luck and great success and good health to all of us.

I love water. That ones easy. What will be hard is to not be able to chug it!

We quit smoking too . My husband and I. I am on my feet running a store 8-9 hours a day without much of a break usually. I just pulled a 21 pallet load off our grocery truck and tomorrow I am going to the gym. I try to stay active. Tomorrow is a Dr follow up appointment too. Should be fun. Seems like every time I go now they find a reason to cut me open. Maybe they'll have my sleep study results from last weekend? Oh well. Good night you guys. Thank you for your support

OK so I have some time before my surgery in July. I have a few obstacles to overcome yet, like blood work, nutritionist consult and monthly follow ups and results from sleep study etc. My biggest concern is getting into a rhythm of healthy eating and mind set. I feel so out of control right now. I want to practice eating properly and working out. Things keep getting in the way. Today I woke up with the worst back ache I could barely walk. Lower back. Could it have to do with the gallbladder disease? They're taking it out on July 11 th. Hopefully that goes away. This is the second time I've experienced excruciating pain in my back. I have an appointment on Thursday with the doctor so I will ask him too, but I was just wondering if anyone out there has experienced this as well. Any advice on what I can do for now to feel better prepared for after sleeve surgery? I drink tons of water and no soda so that's a start I guess. What should I do now to get ready?

I haven't met with the nutritionist yet. I am pretty much at 40 Bmi so if I lose too much I won't meet the required bmi for the surgery.

Omg how exciting -
Exactly. We have to get into some kind of regular regiment. Discipline ourselves so it's not such a huge shock. A little commitment maybe each week. Like this week I gave up coffee. Next week no bread or rice. That's a big one! At least for me.
