Oband medical center just called. They want me to meet up with the doctor to go over my gallbladder results tomorrow. OK so we all know it's not good. They wouldn't call and set up an appointment with the Dr. One day later if nothing was wrong. Let's say it's something they feel needs surgery. Do they wait and do it when I get my sleeve or move up the sleeve surgery? Can they if there's something wrong? Will the insurance company cover that? Now I'm a little freaked out. Not gonna lie

At what point if any did your weight loss slow down?

Think about the thousands of success stories on here. They all survived and went on to obtaining their goals and overcoming the struggles. You are going to be fine. Look at your kids and think of the extended years you'll live to experience life events with them and the better quality of life you will have for yourself. Reach inside yourself and find your confidence and know that you are worth this.

The chest xray they've given me a paper to take and various locations to go and the blood work I just did. Might have to go again. The lady who drew the blood said no and the lady in the office told me it expires in 2 months and I have 3 1/2 months to go so I don't know.

So a lot of you say I'll feel better after having the gallbladder removed. How did things change for you?

Losing Weight but not Inches?
jdillon replied to Debi Amador's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I haven't been sleeved yet but I have lost a lot of weight in the past. I gain and lose weight pretty evenly throughout my body. It takes a lot more lbs for it to show I'm losing weight because of this reason. Some people lose it like off a part of their body like their stomach for instance and nowhere else right away so you see it almost instantly and can measure it. But it's been my experience that our of the blue I am in smaller sizes and people are like wow what did you do? The bad thing is that's how I gain too. -
Pre-op liquid diet and losing weight

How much time was there between your final weigh in and your date of surgery -
Yay for you. Let us know how it goes and how you feel

I bet you're doing amazing! You'll get on when you are ready. Or when your pants start to fall off lol

During the different passes after surgery what did everyone eat? Clear liquids? (Is coconut water OK) Pureed foods Soft foods? Regular?

That's great to hear. Thank you

I also have a lower bmi and have 4 or 5 people who have had the surgery whom I work with. They are the worst critics. They should know why I need it and that it has more to do with just your weight. I wonder just how much research they did before getting the surgery themselves.

It's about 3 months before my surgery. There are many feelings i am feeling. Scared and excited for the most part. I read on these posts every day trying to get as many answers as I can. Looking at the before and after photos and one year surgiversary success stories are both inspiring and provide hope. I wish and dream of my day a year out and my own success. I fear the first weeks after surgery and hope mine goes smoothly. The waiting is so hard. I am making this post so that during my journey when I struggle and lose focus I can remind myself why I did this and what I am striving for. I can't wait for surgery, so I can begin the process of obtaining these goals. 1.).. Current weight 211. Goal weight 120 2.).. Current size 16 pants xlg shirt goal size 6 pants size small shirt 3.).. To be able to run 5 miles min. 4.).. To be able to wear shorts and sleeveless tops and look good 5.).. To wear a pair of jeans and look great in them. 6.).. To have fun clothes shopping instead of dreading it 7.).. To get rid of the body aches and pains and swelling and get hurting gone 8.).. To feel sexy for my husband . I feel Un attractive and insecure so he doesn't get all the attention he deserves. 9.).. To stop the yo yo dieting and the weight going up and down. ( I have clothing ranging from sizes 10-16. Sm med LG xl and 1x shirts. 10.).. To donate all large clothes to someone else in their journey who could use them and know that I will never need them again. 11.).. To wear a swim suit and feel sexy in it and not need a cover up or an excuse to not go to a pool party. 12.).. To not be starred at when I go shopping at my last store I worked at by employees. (I entered a 16week weight loss competition company wide and won 3rd place. Now have gained most of it back again! ) I feel like I let a lot of people down. Especially myself.

I'm 45 years old. I am pre op still. Probably in July I will have my surgery. I too need hiatal hernia repair. On April 11th I will be having my gallbladder removed. I am a little taller than 5ft and at 211lbs fluctuates 6lbs or so down then back up. I hope I have similar recovery to yours. Congrats on your surgery!

I have one tattoo that I want changed. It's of dopey from snow white on my ankle. I would like something feminine like flowers on there for a cover up. The other one I've considered is tinker Bell on the back of the neck. There's a part in the movie where she sees her reflection for the first time

How are you doing?

Thanks for the suggestion!

Everyone stares at me when I come in for my appointments. One girl actually said why are you here? Omg how rude. OK so I'm not as big as most of the people here but I want to be at a healthy bmi and I need help too . I am over 200lbs but most people would never guess it. My weight distributes evenly throughout my body so I hide it well with the right clothes. But I do qualify for the surgery and I do need it. Stop starring at me! Lol.

So that's on a Wednesday night. I might be working not sure cause I'll have just had surgery for the gallbladder removal.

They've all given me advice based on their experiences

94 days until July. Yippee. I need to meet with my nutritionist and they added an xray for my chest now. That's it as far as I know. Then it's once a month meet with Dr. And whatever they add at the end to prepare you for surgery. I cannot wait to start taking the pounds off!!!!! I am done being this big girl! A few days before my surgery I am making my own broth flavored with no salt and canning it. I am buying everything I'll need and setting it up ahead of time for my two weeks off. Sf Popsicles. Coconut water. Plain water. Protein drinks. Whatever I'm told I can have during those two weeks. I'm asking for a treadmill from my husband so that I can walk no matter what the weather is. Vegas gets up to well over 100 degrees and is so hot! I can't wait till it is time to go for surgery. I have another surgery on April 11th for removal of my gallbladder. No more gallstones and acid reflux for me. Things are moving along but July seems so far off. If they push my surgery into August I'll be so upset! I am going to schedule my Dr visit in July early and hope we can get a date! Or before then if possible.
