  1. I just had gallbladder surgery Friday. They injected a dye into my iv wheeled me back to the operating room then transferred me to the operating table. The anastegiologist gave me something and instant panic set in. I felt like something was terribly wrong and I was going to die. I remember feeling it from the waist down first like a sudden wave of fire or lava running through my body. Then my left arm and my right. While I was still awake I remember him telling me is OK it'll pass soon. Then I accepted it as being normal. Horrible but normal. The next thing I knew I was awake and out of it. I've been in pain since then any time I move or try to get up or lay down. My tummy is so swollen. I've kept ice on it but it's still bloated. Before surgery I had lost 5lbs. Afterwards I was up 5lbs. 2lbs down today. I just wish the swelling would go away and the pain would not be so severe. I miss sleeping on my side. I am so afraid to proceed with the sleeve surgery. I want this so bad but I am terrified of the whole process now. You guys are so brave!

    pain

OK so Friday I had my gallbladder removed. I can't lay down because getting up hurts so bad. I've walked like suggested. When does the swelling and pain go away. I'm supposed to get sleeved in July and I am petrified of it now. Someone talk to me. Please tell me your experience so I can have an idea as to when this pain stops.
  4. My tummy is swollen above and below my belly button. It hurts like mad when I get up or try to lay down is that normal?
  5. OK so I guess this will be good for so many reasons to get this gallbladder removed. I'll be able to say I've had surgery before. It will help supposedly with the sleeve surgery in July. No more feeling sick from these stones! I'm still scared. But I will get up get ready and go to the hospital and just do this!

    March 2014 Sleevers

I know what you mean about texture. I love crispy! I haven't had surgery yet but I bet I will miss this like you! It's almost like we all start life over again. I feel like it's going to be like formula (liquids) then Gerber stages (soft foods) lol

Stop the Whining Over A Few Miserable Days!

Maybe not regretting maybe more reality sets in and it's time to see what we're made of. Instead of saying wow I wish I never did this, I'm going to try to remember this post and say OK this is it and now deal with it and move forward. I hope I'm this strong!

Stop the Whining Over A Few Miserable Days!

Not judging. Just voicing my opinion. I can't wait for this surgery! Very excited to get this going. I love all of the views on here because it makes you think about so much more than what you may have otherwise. I'm not an attention getter type. I do worry that I'll be scared as the days grow closer to surgery but I am committed and thanks to so many on here I know it'll pass and hopefully with great success. For all of us!

    Is this normal?

You look awesome and it's so noticeable that you are slimming down! Take a picture and put it side by side. You will see it! I can't wait until I have my surgery and we can experience this together. Think long term. I think one year from now we will be strutting our stuff at work in cute little clothes!

    Waiting on Approval

My insurance required. Psychologist and psychiatric analysis, stress test, blood work, ultrasound, upper gi, sleep study, nutritionist consult, chest x-ray, and to attend a seminar going over the options available for surgery. I have the nutritionist left and chest x-Ray. July is my month for surgery, should be anyways. Still awaiting results from sleep study and blood work. But discovered I need gallbladder surgery. That is Friday!
