Me too. Pictures suck right now -
Must depend on the insurance. He told me not to drop below 40bmi which is 205lbs for me. I fluctuate from that to 210.

I am having surgery in July. I just how that I am as successful as you are! Wow. You are incredible. Please share your story. Struggles. How you overcame them. Did you track your weight loss monthly? How many calories a day? Sorry for all the questions but you look amazing. Anything you want to share would be great! -

How did you stretch your sleeve
-
I've given up coffee. Sugar. Cigarettes since October. Joined a gym. Gave up white bread and replaced one meal a day with Protein shakes. Also have been drinking 60+ ounces of Water a day. I am making small commitments throughout these 6 months leading up to the sleeve. I mess up of course. But I'm trying.

Well if that's vain I am too. Thing is we're going to lose weight by eating healthy and as a result we will look good. Unavoidable . Oh well guess we will have to look good as we get healthy lol. I'm in month 3 of my 6 month insurance required diet. Probably have surgery mid July. Yayyyy. -
Liquid meaning Protein Shakes and water. I could eat chicken too. Yummy
-
Thanks for the tip! I will. I've been drinking nothing but Water and trying to get as much research as possible before the big day . Quit smoking in October . Small things.

Well I am at the half way mark now for the 6 month diet required by the insurance company. I have nutritionist left to do and chest xray and blood work. Cannot wait to get through these newt 3 months. I've gone to so many appointments and jumped through all the hoops including having my gallbladder removed. July cannot come soon enough!
-
Wow you got it all done! Way to go! I would've been done but I had gallbladder surgery and I can't do the blood work until 2 months prior at the very soonest because it's only good for 2 months.

My mother in law posted pictures she took of me with my husband and my son on Facebook. I so cannot wait to get sleeved and not hate my pictures. I really wish she wouldn't post them on Facebook. I had no makeup on and just had my gallbladder removed last Friday so really not at my best. I wouldn't post pictures of anyone without their consent. She's sweet and I don't want to hurt her feelings so I won't say anything but how embarrassing. I guess when I see her next and I am down a lot of weight that will be my redemption. I know this sounds vain but I can't help it. I am 5ft4" and 206lbs (I lost 8lbs after surgery) I just want to feel and look good.
-
I paid 50.00 and filled out paperwork that got sent and had about a 15 min interview on the phone.

OK so I am getting sleeved in July. Last Friday I had gallbladder removed. The pain in my stomach was excruciating when I sat up or when I would lay down. Anything that required me to use my stomach muscles. I felt a little pain in right shoulder but not bad. How does this compare to sleeve surgery pain? The doctor said it's similar.

How do I know if I can do this?
jdillon replied to Blazzrr's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I too am in July. I am going through the same thoughts as the time grows closer. Especially since I just had surgery for my gallbladder. But I feel better as this week passes (I just had surgery last Friday) met with the Dr today and he said that it is very similar to the sleeve surgery. So I feel as though I am getting a trial run sort of. I am surviving and know what to expect to a degree. On some things anyways. Knowing that it will be OK and I am strong enough has eased most of my anxiety. You can do this too! -
OK so a week ago I got my gallbladder out. In an hour I am seeing the Dr. For my first follow up. I was told to leave the dressing on and if I wanted to shower to wrap it up in saran wrap and tape it off so it doesn't get wet. Isn't a week a long time for one bandage? Hoping it's not infected or that is healing properly. Here's crossing my fingers. Guess they know best. I'll know in an hour or so.

30 Hours before Surgery!
jdillon replied to butterfly2014's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Just had gallbladder removed. They did a single incision through belly button. It hurt so bad to sit up or lay down. I'm a week out now and it finally is tolerable. Any similarities to the soreness of a sleeve surgery? -
The Vicodin haze has faded, I survived surgery

Thank you. Wish I would've known about the recliner. I sit in a rocking chair with pillows. Getting a different prescription to ease the pain.
