Just got my surgery date! July 10th! Yay!
jdillon replied to mharris3719's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The doctor just told me at my 4th month follow up that I am officially approved for surgery and only need to show up for two more monthly appointments to weigh in for the insurance requirements and then July is surgery month! When will I get a date? ! After the 6th appointment? How is it that so many people know their dates so early? I know within 2 wks after my 6th appointment I will be approved by my insurance. Possibly sooner. God I am going crazy waiting! -
Yayyyy good for you! !! I am so ready for this!

Yes I agree. 80)

Yayyyy. You look fabulous! Wow 3 months! I am in a16 pants and xxl shirts and xl shirts. I get my sleeve in July. If I can be as successful as you I will be so happy. How was your first weeks? Any tips you can give me?

I live in Henderson Nevada. Close to Vegas. It is a lot of emotions isn't it? Thank you, good luck to you as well. Where are you at in your journey? Are you done with all the tests and appointments?

Went in for my fourth month follow up appointment today and the doctor says I'm clear and approved. Just have 2 appointments to satisfy the insurance requirements and it's off to surgery.

Awesome! You are an inspiration to us all! I pray I am successful as you have been. I am what you would call a professional dieter as most of us are. I've taken 85lbs off in 16 wks and 95lbs in 8 months. I've always been very competitive and succeeded but put it back on. I am hoping by making this commitment it will help keep it off. I will do my best and follow all directions given to me. I have had the talk with my husband and stressed the importance of this and how it's my time to focus on me and what I'll need from him. Thank you for your guidance and advice it means so much to me!

Thank you! Most everyone has been so very nice. It feels like I've been on a roller coaster and have been climbing slowly to the top and now I'm getting ready to roll over the top and head down now at a much faster rate. I'm ready for the ride and the twists and turns and whatever else comes my way. I know there will be pain and struggles and possible complications and emotional ups and downs. I just want it to begin so that I may get it done and the worst behind me. I look forward to being a year post op and wonder how I'll feel and what I will look like. So exciting knowing positive changes are heading my way and that in one year I will most likely feel comfortable in a pair of shorts and a tank top. The simplest things. Wearing what I do now in 120 degree weather is so miserable but I am not about to wear clothes that reveal my arms legs and any other part of my body. I can't wait until my feet do not hurt anymore, among other aches and pains due to the excess weight I carry. What about you? How far out are you? Where are you at in your journey?

Sleeve surgery in July in Las Vegas. Anyone else in July in Vegas?
-
Not really . I think I need to go on my computer and search around and learn how to maneuver around rather than my phone. There are things that are available that I cannot do on my phone I understand. Like add friends. Thanks for the info though

Sergey lyass is my surgeon. I live here so I do know how hot it is lol. Been here since 1987 and still run and hide from the heat hang out at the mall or the theater. Sometimes it is so hot there's power outages. We Were going to try to plan a camping trip during August maybe to get out of here.

Any july surgery dates?
jdillon replied to princesstigga517's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Ok I agree! I'm 5ft about 211lbs . I started my 6 month required diet 4 months ago. I'm borderline bmi so I was told to not lose weight. I should have surgery in July. My goal is to be about 130lbs. That's about a size 6 on me. I cannot wait for my surgery and I'm terrified at the same time. How about you? -

What's your daily diet like? -
Thursday is my 4 th follow up of 6 required for my sleeve surgery. I feel extra bloated and heavy. I think I've gained 5lbs since last visit. I have to try to take a few off before Thursday. I am a borderline bmi and was told to not lose weight but to not gain a lot either hmmmmm. Is hard to stay the same every weigh in. I think I'm going to do a 4 day protein liquid diet and then watch a little closer what I eat. I've cut out some things. No diet drinks (soda) no fast food. Just have been trying to cut or the sweets. That should help. No cigarettes since October . Drinking a lot of water. Wish me luck.

So you are how far in? No hair loss? I'm having surgery in July and I've worried a bit about that.

Someone told me too click on the picture and the menu would drop down and add friend would appear. Not on my phone. Is there a way too do this on the phone app?

So I met worth my NUT today. Went over expectations and what I'll be eating after surgery. It really feels real now! Getting closer to the date. July will be my month for getting sleeved. Just the chest xray and blood work left to do. What a list of appointments we all need to go through! So glad it's almost time
