Do you miss anything about being Fat? (You're Old Body)
msfitn2014 replied to HalloweenBaby24's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
omg this post has been hilarious!! I absolutely love this forum the good the bad and the uglee!! I don't like all the attention and that's the ONLY thing I am going to miss is being hidden. When you lose weight everyone notices you, like the men will have seen you a million times and will be like excuse have we met? I have a great spouse and I don't like all the attention, stalkers, liars and lurkers approaching me, so for me that is the only thing I miss is being hidden!! -
congrats!! I heard Dr Kim is a great dr. I agree with the other ladies, I would go on a liquid diet, dannon light and fit greek yogurt, protein shakes, sugar free jello and plenty of water!! Good luck

msfitn2014 replied to christo5's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have bcbs anthem. I had a bmi of 40 and I did not have to do the 6 mo weight loss consultation, not sure if it was because I was already banded that they knew I had been trying or not. I did have to have I think 3 test done before being approved. -

I don't know if its normal but it happen to me...my stomach under the incision where they took my stomach out was numb for almost 2 weeks, one day I noticed it wasn't numb any more. When I went to my 2week check up my dr said my incisions had healed perfectly and they removed my stiches and that I was ok. He told me to be concerned if I had fever, my incisions bruised or oozed.

woohoo, congrats and Great post!! -
I went to work after 3 weeks, I sit at a desk for 10-12 hrs a days. Luckily I went back on a Thursday and only worked 8hrs that Thursday and Friday....I got up every 2 hours to stretch my legs and walk around because I started feeling sore by sitting sooo long. That next week I started working 10 hours. I took my 2 15 min breaks, my 30 min lunch and I also took 5min walks every 2 hours. If I sat for a long time I started getting sore...the 3rd week I was working 12 hours a day. I took my snacks everyday, my g2 Gatorade, my water and my protein shakes..my only problem was I had to use the bathroom a lot, anything I ate only stayed on my stomach for an hour so it appeared I was constantly up but luckily my boss is great

What month did you first try carbonated drinks?
msfitn2014 replied to Unhappysleever's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Wow!! I was banded 2005 and I did good till 2010...for 5 years I never drank carbonated water!! After all my fluid was removed and I gained almost all my weight I started back, the first pepsi was soooo good even though it burned my chest and then came out of my nose!! I decided to drink anothe one with more ice to dilute it and drink it really slow!! I was back to drinking soda 16oz 2x a day or more for the next 4 years 2014 I started my NEW weightloss journey and have not had a soda or any carbonated water in 2014...im now SLEEVED and my dr and nut dont want me drinking carbonation!! I feel so proud to be 6 months carbonation free and 8 weeks sleeved!! Good luck i know its a struggle but we can do it!! -
