Federal BCBS paid for my sleeve 100%, minus the copayments for the hospital and my surgon!

Received my Explanation of Benefits for my surgery. My insurance paid everything except for my $250 co-pay for hospital admission! -

Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers. Good luck and prayers to everyone else having their surgery!

I did not have to do a two week pre-op diet. I am on clear liquids today though. I hope and pray your surgery goes well too!

Tomorrow is the day! As of right this second, I am ready and I am not nervous. I hope I remain calm and not nervous. Worst thing is I don't have to be at the hospital until noon. I think I can handle the not eating till then, but not sure about the not drinking! Anyway - wish me luck and pray that all goes well for me. Thanks!

Pre-Op Appointment Tomorrow!
^Lolly^ replied to ^Lolly^'s topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Pre-op was a piece of cake. I had already had my EKG and my blood work was still good. So, all I had to do is answer lots and lots of questions. Wednesday is the day of my surgery. I think I am actually looking forward to it. I'm not concerned about the surgery itself, I am worried after the nausea and food issues. I'll get through it - like everyone else. I expect the first 4-6 weeks to be pretty rough, but I have a great support system. -

Suggestions to Make Liquid Post-Op Diet More Interesting
^Lolly^ posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Getting ready for my June 4th surgery. Trying to make a list for the grocery store and am looking for ideas to make the clear liquid and full liquid portion of the post-op diet more interesting - add a little variety. Help! -
Thanks everyone! It was very helpful to read all of the comments. Thank God for this forum. Still nervous, but this is something I have to do for myself and my health!

^Lolly^ started following Having Second Thoughts
-
OK. I think I must be crazy. I've been working toward the goal of weight loss surgery since January. Now that I have my surgery scheduled, I'm starting to second guess myself. Can I do this? Should I do this? Am I ever going to feel "normal" again afterwards? The list goes on. I think I must be out of my mind to do this, but then tell myself that I absolutely HAVE to do this for my health. I've done my research and understand that the first couple of weeks/months are going to be tough, but what if I never feel better. Anyone else out there have/had these same thoughts? Tell me how you got through this.
