I feel as if I made a bad decision.

I had the Lap Band removed and the sleeve done on January 17th and have not been able to eat or drink anything since then. Everything comes back up and when it do it also full of mucus. I chew the food up very small before swallowing and that's not helping me. I feel the food sitting in my chest. The Dr. is suggesting I do the Gastric Bypass but to me that's not going to help my situation. I do not feel like going under anesthesia to be cut open again. Do anyone have any suggestions? Do you know anyone that experience what I am experiencing? Can you imagine being so hungry and wanting to eat and when you do it stops in your chest only to be regurgitated back out.....yuck!! -

It might take up to 3/4 weeks depending on how fast your incision heals. I too was tossing and turning when I first came home, try a soft pillow under you and see if that helps. Good luck! -

Yes it is a horrible feeling. The Dr. tried to clean up the corrosions caused by the band......I'm just trying to figure out why the food/liquids is not going to the stomach? Gagging is not good and I can cause problems to the stomach but I feel the food and liquids in the chest and have no problem bring it back out. As soon as I do that.....I'm sooooo hungry. I'm going to seek a second and third opinion. I am suppose to be on the road to healing and instead I feel as if I'm on the road to setback. -

I guess we all experience a little setback differently but in the end we should be happy (I HOPE). I wish I could get eggs down let alone 300 calories but that's not my case. Good Luck....you're doing a whole lot better then some of us. Keep us posted....the things you do may and will help the next person that experience the same symptoms as you.
