in case I didn't reply I know what you mean, I had almost an allergic puffiness around each one I thought I was losing my mind! Nothing helped too much except time, 3 days, but at the end I bought Benedryl Spray and it did help a little btw
-
I feel for you, I just about lost my mind and nothing worked until I got the Benedryl spray. Not 100% but helped me to not go insane good thing to have around.

Anybody else feel hungry often or am I the only weirdo
Patoonces replied to TonyaNKy's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
My friend and I both have sleeve and even though our meals are small we get hungry two three hours later so even though snacking not encourage we just split up pour meals and eat them in two sittings or just eat small meals. The hunger is much different than before surgery and much more bearable and not so all encompassing but still around -
I had reflux before and now worse after since my stomach is so tiny the acid has no where to go. One thing that helps, no eating near lying down, even a nap.

I had this two around when you did. I found that moisture and time is the key. Still have trouble with some chicken, tofu, anything if it's too dry or eat too fast.

does sleeve have restriction?
Patoonces replied to f1stborn2014's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I got concerned early on during liquids and purée phase. I though, omg I am not satisfied with the small amounts my NUT recommend in the first few weeks. Once I got to normal food, I was surprised at the restriction from what I though were soft foods. My eyes were big but my tummy is not anymore and if I overdid by one bite I get discomfort so restriction will become more apparent as you eat more normal textures -
Yawn.....Stretch....then POP?!?!
Patoonces replied to Slimk's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
there is an internal stitch that at some point does pop so its likely its this. Just call, if your group is as great as mine they will have you feeling at ease very soon. So worth the call. -
Extreme Spitting
Patoonces replied to Antonia_megan's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Extreme mucous is the slimies. You went too fast and either too much, past full, not chewed enough or a texture you can't handle. I get this way still at 7 weeks from chicken or broccoli or not chewed well food, just not ready for them -
I'm excited to start eating sashimi but concerned about it this early on (2.5 months). I"d be afraid to risk the rare chance of contaminated raw fish this close in my healing process. I plan to be a sashimi maniac at some point, as seafood goes down so much better than chicken or beef and I seem to be craving seafood moreso anyway. But the chance of anything no being cooked just seems to early, if god forbid I got sick now I'd hate to do that to my new tummy.

3.5 weeks post op...not losing
Patoonces replied to Elizabeth Gonzalez's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I totally halted at 3 weeks and things started moving after that so Its a phenomenon that is totally true! Now, I have two more weeks till my 3 mos so lets hope the hair loss starting at that time isn't true!!!! -
Anyone have a recipe? I'm egged out!
-
So, I take my bariatric multi. I read lots of posts about getting in Iron, how it can help you with energy (which I am still lacking at about 6 weeks) and hair loss which I am worried about, should I be taking much more? How much is too much? I know there are a lot of people that swear by the iron so any advice can help!
-
How do you keep your protein up with all the veggies and grains?
-
My one recommend a decent natural jerky for a high protein snack?
-
Thanks! Ordered some tonight! What do you recommend for fish jerky? Never had it what does it taste like?
-
Ow do I take in more Iron without red meat. My vitamin only has 10

Thanks for info! -
I guess the only thing that concerns me 5 weeks out is the rawness if the sushi. Most of it, at least most if what I used to get. I'm concerned about the chance of the fish having something wrong with it and having newly cut stomach put at risk. Otherwise I'd be eating salmon sashimi all of the time!

So, I bled right after surgery but found it wasn't my period but just a reaction to anesthesia or meds. So im almost 5 weeks out and now have my period. It is sooo heavy and all of my symptoms are strong. Is this common? I just never really get it this bad.

So, I'm almost 5 weeks out. Progressing slowly but good. Instead of diarrhea I am now getting a but constipated. Upon going today, I had what looked like a little bloody stool very solid. I'm surprisingly calm, I do work in a hospital, but curious if the trauma of cutting and suturing the stomach could lead something down the g.i. Tract to be found later on. I'll ask doc but didn't know if anyone experienced this.

I totally had this and I normally have great vision and dont wear glasses. It didntnfreakvme out, lasted an few days, think it wasn't he drugs. As they exited my system and discontinues pain meds which was just about when I got home, sight got better.

So if you can't drink with meal how would you say have soup with meal. Like miso and sashimi....is this possible?
-
It get better and congrats
-
As silly as it sounds I swung my arm around all crazy (only if you don't have bad shoulders) and beat on my upper chest like Tarzan and next morning was better
-
Soooo, I'm almost three weeks out. I weaned down my two cups à day habit and have not had any since surgery. Has anyone had just a little? Like just a half a cup? Not drinking alcohol hasn't been too hard yet but I am missing the coffee
