APRIL SLEEVERS: How much weight did you lose?
Get.Waisted replied to tanaproma's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Wow...I'm in day three and this is EXACTLY how I've been feeling, can't wait for day 4! -
Does anyone know if strained beef veggie soup is ok to have when I start full liquids? I don't know if it may be considered to acidic. It's not on my banned liquids list but it's not listed as an example on my approved liquids list.

Beef veggie soup?

Thanks for that tip Bob. I'm gonna send my hubby on another run to walmart for a scale now! -
Beef veggie soup?
Get.Waisted replied to Get.Waisted's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
What do you mean by weigh/measure it out? I plan on just drinking/eating the liquid, I just can't stomach chicken broth anymore. I'm so tired of chicken broth, veggie soup is sounding like filet mignon. -
I was nauseous only when I tried chicken broth so I haven't had anymore of that. I'm so glad to know it's normal cause I don't wanna end up back in the hospital.

I was sleeved on yday (4/23) and I actually feel worse today than yesterday but my pain is controlled by meds, is it normal to feel worse the day after? Also I'm not getting enough liquids in, every time I take a sip I feel ill, is that normal? Should I sip through it or is that a sign that I'm full may vomit if I continue to sip? Please if anyone has any insight let me know. Thanks.

Newly sleeved with questions
Get.Waisted replied to Get.Waisted's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks you all that makes me feel better that it's normal. I actually forgot I have a big box of sf Popsicles in my freezer and I'll send my husband out to get me some crushed ice. Those are some good ideas, I'm just gonna try getting in what I can and I'm not gonna push it to get more down. -
I was sleeved on the 23rd. The most pain I experienced was the first two hrs afterwards then it gradually got better. No gas pains, a lot of soreness. Biggest problem I'm having is getting in my liquids, it's so hard. I'm scared of dehydration but I can only drink about an ounce before I feel full and I'm afraid if I keep going I'll vomit...looking forward to tomorrow to be better. Also no hunger at all, head or real.

Follow A Sleever From Day 1 to 1 Year
Get.Waisted replied to Jerziegirl's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Thx for the response. My surgery was yesterday, and I was NOT weighed in...yaaay...lol. My surgeon said he didn't run into any complications and maneuvering around my liver was no problem b/c it was in good condition. Congrats to you on losing 25lbs that's a great accomplishment. -
Glad to hear you're doing good webhopper...!! I'll be joining you tomorrow, my surgery is scheduled for 9am, I'm so freaking nervous...congrats to you!

Anybody in here sceduled for surgery this MONTH?
Get.Waisted replied to perfectlyflawed14's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thx so much JustMe and Sha! I'm glad I know what to possible expect, that helps a lot. I've read so much about the actual procedure and the after care but then I realized I didn't know that to expect before. Most ppl don't care too much about that part but I guess I'm a weirdo like that lok -
Follow A Sleever From Day 1 to 1 Year
Get.Waisted replied to Jerziegirl's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hi Jerziegirl My surgery is on 4/23 and I've lost only 5lbs so far so I'm a little nervous about that. Were you weighed in the morning of your surgery when you checked in at the hospital? I wasn't given an amount to lost, I was just told to do the pre op diet but I've seen ppl lose so much weight and I'm sitting at 5lbs... :/ -
Anybody in here sceduled for surgery this MONTH?
Get.Waisted replied to perfectlyflawed14's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
For anyone who has been sleeved already this month I wanted to know if someone could kind of walk me through the process once you get to the hospital. My surgery is on 4/23 and I'm a stickler for detail, it's driving me crazy that I don't know what to expect. I know hospitals operate differently but just would like to hear other experiences on what happens between checking in and actually being rolled into the E.R... -
Weighing in on surgery day....
Get.Waisted replied to tarahuff82's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm in the same boat. I only lost 5lbs but my surgery is on Wednesday. I wasn't told that weight loss was a requirement but I'm still nervous about only losing 5lbs. I was also wondering if I would be weighed when I checked in for surgery, I really do hate to disappoint. -
I haven't kicked either one yet but I plan on going cold turkey on Monday and then my pre op starts on Wednesday. Getting a little nervous...

Hello 521 Diva. Sounds like you are doing great! Congrats on the successful surgery. I'm getting sleeved on the 23rd of this month but I just wanted to warn you to be careful with the sucking/licking thing. I've read that can actually lead to an eating disorder. Some ppl chew their food and spit it out I can't remember the exact name of the disorder but do try and be careful with...again congrats on making it over to the losers bench!!

Oh wow a month! So I won't complain about my two weeks, but I know I won't like it a three day one sounds a helluva lot better too lol

Pissed at my office insurance person
Get.Waisted replied to Jersrose43's topic in Insurance & Financing
I would be pissed also. It's always strange when I hear stories like this about dropping the ball when submitting yo the insurance. They should be able to this stuff with their eyes closed I'm sure it's not their first time. That really shows a lack of professionalism, sorry you're having to deal with this mess but hopefully everything is resolved quickly. -
My surgery is also scheduled for 4/23! Do you have to do the pre op diet?
-
I'm 4/23 also...! I have to do two weeks liquid, how about you? Weight: 256 Goal: 120 (dr's) Age: 30
