Frangipani & TexasBecky get Reconstructed
LadyBugRed replied to TexasBecky's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Hi Frangi - Let us know that you made it home okay. I hope all is well with your surgery. Sounds like things are fine. Becky - are you doing okay with with Ike?? I hope you and your family are fine. Have a great weekend everyone!! I am actually making it to the gym these days. The only thing that DOESN'T hurt is my fingers to post!! My son says I am the Number One Woosie...Smart ass huh??? I tried to ground him but it didn't work!! -
Went to the gym yesterday - bike - 20 minutes treadmill - 30 minutes elliptical machine - this machine loves to kick my @ss!! Today I just finished a 3 mile walk. I plan to get to the gym every other to start. I don't want to hurt myself and be down for a couple of weeks. Nice walks in between should help me get back to where I need to be.

Frangi - I will definitely say a prayer that Ike slows down. I hope you make it home on Wednesday. You are only a week post op. I am sure that things will change soon. Glad one drain came out. Since you are still draining doesn't that mean there is swelling? Like Becky said, with your Doc, things will turn out great!! -
Nana - Call your doctor right away. I went yesterday to get a fill and I was afraid that I had an issue. Boy, did my Doc chew me out for not calling him immediately. He reminded me that he works for me so to speak. Moderator Jack had the best advice. Only you and your doctor can say what is best for you. Trust me, they do not feel that you bother them. Please call him.

To Fill or Not to Fill...that is the question
LadyBugRed replied to LadyBugRed's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Thanks everyone!! I spoke to my doctor and recommended coming in for a small fill also. If I need more in a month I can go back in again. -
Hi Bandsters, I need your input. I am scheduled for a fill on Thursday. I am not sure if I need one. When I received my last fill I wasn't eating enough so I did not lose any weight for months. But...now I noticed I get hungry quicker but not everyday. There are times my band is so tight I can get water down but there are times I can eat in the middle of the day a Panera Bread half veggie sandwich with the cup of cream of broccoli soup. I can eat bread now. I could never do that before. What do you think? Have my doc add a smidge to cut off the really bad habits? I am afraid to be too tight and have the darn thing slip. Advice welcome! Hope you are enjoying your Labor Day Weekend!

To Fill or Not to Fill...that is the question
LadyBugRed replied to LadyBugRed's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Thank you both! I am thinking the same thing about the tweak. I did call today and spoke to the nurse and she also recommended a small fill and GET BACK TO BASICS!!! I actually stopped by the office and wrote down the 10 "commandments" so to speak. Now, I just need to stop by the gym! -

Hi Frangi - I left you a voice mail on your phone that Becky and I were worried about you. You are truly amazing!!:tt2: Glad you had such a good weekend! We spent a good part of ours on the bike. It was gorgeous weather. Glad to hear from you!! -
Maggie - I am sorry to hear about the leak. When can they fix it? Try to stay to the Proteins and you will stay full longer. I should practice what I preach but it's the truth. Good luck and keep us posted.

Hi Becky - Personally....I love the way your hair looks!:cursing: It truly enhances how "thin" your face really is.:w00t: It is wonderful!! I also just got a new cut and color. It is a good time for change!!:cool2: Karey - Frangi told me that the morphine is helping but never mentioned a drip. If you want to give me specifics I can ask her when she calls again. She justs sounds terrific!! -

August 2007 Bandsters still on their journey
LadyBugRed replied to LadyBugRed's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Ok August Crazy Ates - Becky posted on how far we all have come but posed a serious question. I, for one, would like to see our thread become more active just like myself!! Here is Becky's post: I’m going to commit to stay focused on eating a healthy, well balanced bandster’s diet. I’m not going for perfection, but I’m going to shoot for eating well 90% of the time. I’m also going to keep exercising, because it makes me feel good about myself. What are you going to do? I posted that I also need to eat well 90% of the time but also need to kick the exercise into high gear for at least 5 times a week. Looks like a gym membership is in my future with my friend, Theresa. Let's hear your answer to her question on what are you going to do? Talk it up folks. We all need support!!:w00t::biggrin::cool2::biggrin: -
You go Pam!! Sounds like you have a wonderful man. I have to say though, if my Mom's name was RUBY she must be pretty special!! That is such a fabulous name!!:cool2::biggrin:
