Thanks Becky! I have REALLY missed all of you. I should have posted last month because I made my challenge big time! Salsa, please let me know how the Biggest Loser stuff is. I really need the weight lifting help. I am happy to report I just finished my 6 mile trek on the mountain. I only do this once or twice a week. Enjoy the rest of the weekend everyone!

    Slow Losers Unite!

Hi everyone! I have been keeping up with my walking 5 times a week. I did meet my goal for the first time in 3 months of trying. I go to the surgeon for a check up on Wednesday. I hope the scale is gentle with me!! I feel like I am losing but I know that is inches from walking. I am so afraid of that scale. I haven't weighed in at all in a week or so. Kathy - Hope your unfill goes well. I am still working on getting all my Protein and calories in for each day. Water is a chore now that I can't chug. Oh well... Have a great weekend everyone!

Hi Kathy, I didn't go cold turkey but kept it under 50 grams of carbs. Still had nausea. Trying to follow South Beach phase 2.

Hi everyone, How is the first day going so far on the pouch test? I am doing the no carbs thing and boy what nausea I have! I could break the glass on the candy machine at work for a bag of chips!! Hope you are all doing well. Remember to post the good with the bad. Inquiring minds want to know!

Kathy, I am not sure if I should do it (not that it would hurt me...lol!). I just had a fill and am finally feeling restriction to where I will pb if I don't behave. I need to learn to manage this. The scale finally moved. I cut back on my walking and started eating more. YIKES...I give up!! I will keep that website though to try in a couple weeks. Those that do follow the 5 day pouch test PLEASE post. We would love to hear how you are doing!!

My current fill is 5.8cc in a 14cc band. It is definitely enough restriction. I am having some sliming issues once in awhile. I just can't figure it out. I think it may be the water. I am not drinking enough. Hopefully the darn scale will move on Monday when I actually weigh in. Otherwise it goes out in the garbage!!

Candy - I used to watch Days of Our Lives everyday. I watched it the other day and it's amazing how the same charachters are there!! I wanted to invite them to my wedding 20 years ago because I felt they were part of the family!! I have walked 4 or more miles a day since Monday. Guess What??? No movement on the scale!!!:tt2::sad: I am devastated. The only thing I can think of is water...it is hard to get it down now since my last fill. I am not getting in the recommended amount. I think I will weigh in once a month from now on. Any advice is appreciated. We have a snow day here in Northern New Jersey. I am so glad to be home!!

Good morning everyone!! I will have to catch up on all the posts. I am so glad I have a thread to post on that makes me feel so good!! Have a great day everyone and thanks for all the support and advice. PS - 4 mile walk yesterday and did 18 minute miles. The exercise continues and the scale stays the same:rolleyes:

NJ Gal, I was addicted to carbs until my last fill. This did it. I really have to eat slow and steady to get in all I need. I hope I fall into a routine and get used to this. I had tuna fish with mayo today and boy, that didn't want to go down to well either. No sliming just took forever.

Crazy4MyK9, You have lost over 40 pounds since October. You are doing amazing!! I find when I have lost energy it is because I am not getting in all of my protein grams. Keep up the good work!!

I had my first sliming incident today also. I ate a Lean Pocket for breakfast which I always did before this last fill. Oh boy:eek::thumbup: what a nightmare. Must have been too doughy. I was "sick" for about an hour. Not violently ill but uncomfortable. I am going to start practicing some good chili recipes. Sounds like it is a good way to get some tasty protein.

Band Chick, I know how you feel about posting our smaller losses to those who have managed 70 lbs in 6 months. That is also why I left. This thread is just fine for us to make new friends!

Doddie, I agree. I am going to give this a go for another week to see if I am too tight. I get impatient when I eat so I just give up and don't finish my meal. Of course I am a fast eater who has to now pace herself. I'll get there but this is excellent advice for us all. Thanks!

    Slow Losers Unite!

Hi everyone, I hope you are all doing well. I am walking 5 -6 miles a day and still only losing 2-3 pounds per week. I love my white Pinot Grigio on the weekend and I think it is killing me. Oh well... I am still losing...My restriction is amazing since my 2nd fill. Any suggestions as to how to get the protein down??

    Slow Losers Unite!

Hi everyone, NJ Gal - go for it! Make smaller goals along the way to get you there. If you don't make it, it won't matter because I am sure you will have lost weight and that is the ULTIMATE goal!! You should ask your fiance to hide or not bring home all the goodies. Try and find alternative ones for them to have too that are healthier. I tried it with my sons, 14 and 17. It took awhile but now they will eat cooked chicken breast instead of a sleeve of cookies. I had my 2nd fill yesterday. He added 1.8cc in my 14cc band for a total of 5.8cc. Oh my:eek::smile: What a difference!! I had tuna fish give me such pain today. I need to slow down. How does everyone pace themselves???

I go for my second fill tomorrow at 3PM. Was anyone nervous the second time around?? It didn't hurt just felt weird. I am really excited!! I need it.

NJ Gal - you are more than half way to 50 lbs!! You can do it! I started walking around 3 weeks ago and I can feel the inches coming off. Remember too that there are NO FAT BRIDES!!! Only beautiful ones. Make yourself a goal to exercise twice a week and go from there. Add a day each week. Before you know it you will be a workout machine!!!!:smile2:

Hope everyone had a great weekend. I weighed in this morning and was down another 1.4. I have walked at least 3 miles a day for the past 3 weeks. It is amazing that the scale doesn't move where you want!! We are getting some cold weather here but I have to keep my exercise going. I also go for a fill on Tuesday. Hoping that will help the hunger!!

Hi everyone!! Just wishing you a happy and healthy weekend. I am an EMT on Lincoln Park's First Aid Squad so healthy is important to me otherwise I am coming to pick you up!! Took another 4 mile walk today. Hope this continues!! Funny, all this walking and no change in scale.

We can't let them beat us NJ Gal. What is that saying - keep your friends close and your enemies closer!! It is so true!! Use their attitudes to keep you motivated. I try to keep the phrase - MOVE MORE, EAT LESS in my head lately. It is working. Hope it stays that way. Hang in there!! You can do this!! Our weight loss is not a race but a journey.:tongue2:

Doddie - my hubby and I have been married for 20 years and we are the same way. Took a 4 mile walk today with Kim from work. We had a great time. She is 23 and I almost kept up with her! She said she had a good workout too.
